Weird Score Today

First - I’m honestly not complaining as I was able to play today.

I had 2 quads and a double and 15 pars. +10 on 3 holes. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself.

Thats the key for me. I'm a 14 and I mostly fight to reduce the blow ups. If I focus on shooting bogey golf, throw in a few pars and maybe even a birdie or two, low 80s is very possible. My last round was an 83, I only had 2 doubles, didn't lose a ball, but never made a birdie. Still a good solid round for me.

Blow up holes are my specialty. Last week I was three under through 12 with a double, and then I finished with 4 doubles and a par for a smooth 78. Next morning continued the carnage continued with doubles 4 of my first 6. Played the last 12 a couple under for another 78. Bottom line I birdied 10 of the 36 holes and doubled 9 of them.

I was just getting my swing back in shape when the Covid-19 issues hit, so I have gone from being able to hit balls numerous days a week, to only being able to play and with no warm-up. I played last Friday (luckily in GA we are open, with huge restrictions), I had an eagle, 3 birdies, and shot 4 over. On the Front I had the eagle, and one birdie, and one par, and shot four over. On the back I had 6 pars and two birdies and a double for even par.

I had a weird one Sunday. An entire 9 of paint. Tiring.

This was me a couple weeks ago. 5 birdies, 14 greens and shot +3.... Doubled almost every green I didn't hit. Alternated between draining 25 footers and skulling chips across greens into sand trap. 3 putted a straight 12 footer.
