look at all the posts locked--harmless--Mods have nothing better to do

In before the lock on this one--- ya know just saying----- But seriously I can see it on some stuff being the way things are now and how stuff seems to escalate these days

I wondered the same thing. But after observing some threads more closely, the mods were intolerant (and I agree with them) of any dangerous propaganda and bs opinions about covid. It was largely a handful of usual people. The mods would delete those posts as well, so it's hard to tell why the thread was closed after the fact.

Look at the titles - for the most part COVID this and COVID that and if not that's where they went. BDP5 is right, lots of posts deleted so you don't necessarily see what was the final straw, but a few folks wanted to get in their political virus views in as many threads as possible and wouldn't stop.

I'd say there are a lot of threads locked because mods do have a lot better things to do and tire of the endless folks that can't take a hint and the likely endless reports.

Unfortunately, I think a couple of good posters may have got caught in the crossfire and hope they are back soon.

It looks like bladehunter’s (Jack) posts have been deleted? That’s extreme.

And a Kevin Na/blade thread closed after a few posts. That one could have been entertaining.

Is bladehunter even around? He didn't show up in a search.

If I had to venture a guess most of what I have seen locked was likely not sufficiently golf related to be in the general golf talk forum. Had they been posted in the 19th hole they may have survived. Just a WAG on my part, but it's what I thought had happened.

... You and I have both been involved with forums that were pretty tightly controlled and at the time, I thought overly controlled. But once the owner left, chaos followed and it didn't take long for the golf forum to turn into something completely different. Obviously we would all love a perfectly MOD'ed golf forum but that is impossible to suit everyones tastes and I would rather a forum be too tightly controlled than too loosely controlled. Without irony, most of the people that complain are on my ignore list anyway. While we see things pretty eye to eye, we disagree to an extent about playing MB's but we have never argued and are very respectful of each others opinions. Too many here are not.

Sadly, yes on blade - hope he's back soon!

Yep well said we do to some extent have some differences in opinions of MB versus CB---- But in the scope of life just a slight difference in opinion. And at the end of the day we can still be friends and have a Pepsi together

Thus far it looks like he got the (original) "LICC" treatment - before he got banned entirely.

He wasn’t using two usernames. He had them change his username. Doesn’t look like timeout....the posts are gone. Thousands of them I suppose.

He had nearly 31k posts in just over 6 years as a member. Many of them a novella. He must have spent an insane amount of time here.

Already answered above. The "reasons" (read POSTS) that caused the threads to be locked were deleted.

Strange, about the same time you posted this I was browsing the "Posts Participated In" and saw Jack H had responded to this thread but when I clicked on the thread his post was not displayed at the bottom, as the newest post should have been.

The blade is still out there lurking around...........Just when you least expect it, he will reach out and grab you.

Users posts being deleted.... users being deleted... SOUNDS LIKE A CONSPIRACYYYY!!!

But really who cares that much anymore. Posts that aren't 100% golf related are gonna get tossed without warning and I think they've made that pretty clear. If ppl wanna troll, go to a social/off topic forum spot, or go find some weird sub in reddit. This is easiest the best/most populated forum right now so unless people are gonna boycott, we'll have to just put up with how things are moderated.
