Earlier this year I got a new Zero Restriction Pinnacle jacket. I've mostly always worn Goretex but this is made from a different material (ZR doesn't elaborate on what it is) but its still guaranteed waterproof for life. Half the weight of my other Goretex jackets and stretchy. I can't wait for life to get back to normal so I can go play on a rainy day. Stay safe.

Your point about ZR being light and stretchy is a good one. The material is also very quiet. The one I have has zips at the elbows which is really a great feature.

I think all modern rainwear will get the job done, so features like lightweight, stretchy and quiet materials are good differentiators.

Sleeper pick is Mountain Hardware... They make a packable Gore-tex Pant and Jacket called Exposure 2. lots of great features including a hood!

Any experience with their lined pants? Need to upgrade some cold weather stuff, and they claim to keep you warm to temps lower than I'd ever golf in.

Is it reasonably priced. Some of the rain gear is so expensive
