Being quarantined has me all over eBay and the classifieds on here and I have started to build up a "new to me" WITB. If you had $500 to blow on a putter what are you buying?!

I'd spend about $100-$150 on a good condition used Odyssey White Hot #7, $20-$30 on a good grip, and then keep the rest for greens fees.

Hmm...that's a tough one, I can't get some of the customs I want, but I can get some pretty nice customs for that as well. I kinda want to give the LAB DF2.1 a try and spend the remaining on a lesson.

I'd like to try a Bettinardi Inovai putter. Have had an anser style putter head for a while, but for some reason the Inovai shape / color scheme looks good to my eye.

(1) Head that I like in pristine condition, purchased used on eBay - I'm thinking a Bettinardi from a few years back (Studio Stock or BB series);

(2) KBS CT Tour shaft;

(3) My favorite grip;

(4) Pay someone that I trust to install the shaft in the head;

(5) Paint to change the paintfill to my desire.

DONE.

I'd order up a custom Cushman c&c model. No sight-lines, machining lines across the back, light mill face, torched finish, white fill, 1/2 offset pipe neck. Gloss black shaft with flatso ultra.

That's if I was gonna spend the whole amount, should come in right around that 500 mark. I've never spent that much on a putter before though, and I'm quite fond of some of my much cheaper purchased putters.

I had a similar budget at the beginning of the lock down. Bought a toulon las vegas h7. Very nice. But not greater than my dd201. So it will go. Let me know if you are ineterested.

I am currently looking at a DD201 or a Goodwood G7... I keep going back and forth, they both look so good!

My DD201 is in SS, mat black with the name of my daughter in the back. I have 3 putter in the basement. Whenever i am down, i go grab that putter and something is just right. If i could change something i would go with a heavier head. Fantastick putter with a great feel. Will never leave

Try something new that has new "tech" in it and see if it works for you, otherwise you are just paying for a pretty face. I think a lot of the custom "anser" style putters are great looking (some like art), but at the end of the day, they are all just copies of the original Ping Anser putter. It baffles me that a whole industry has been made off of the same design from 50+ years ago.

If you decide to go the other route, get fitted and get see someone like Bobby Grace, Seemore or another custom maker that may be in your area. Nothing better than great fitting putter for your own stroke.

I've always wanted to get a nice conditioned Method 001 and have someone turn it into a long neck. I will probably rock a long neck blade until I retire from this game and I think the sheer exclusivity of this putter would be hella cool, plus I always loved the way the original Methods rolled the ball and the look at address.

I agree. Can’t beat the prices on the older models like the 17/18 models. Pga SS had the studio stock #8 new for $199.99 last week it may still be on there. Then you can send it to betti for $200 and get custom paint and what not done to it
