Which singer's voice reaches your soul like no other?

During this time there's only so much we can do. I listening to music a lot because to me music is often uplifting and inspiring. There is always a song for my mood. I heard a song from a music group from the 60s and 70s and believe this singer's voice is probably the one who reaches my soul like no other ever has. When I hear her voice I am still awed by her flawless voice. She never missed, even in the old concert videos I have seen. The group is The Carpenters and the singer, and voice, is Karen Carpenter. She had such an angelic voice, so warm and loving but at times so haunting. Every time I hear one of their songs I am just mesmerized but the depth of emotion she exhibits in her singing. While there have been many wonderful singers it is her voice that seems to hit me like no other.

Steve Perry. You hear the voice. THE voice. The range, the depth, the “uniqueness”, it’s timeless.

Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline - so much to love and I love them, too!

For me, Linda Ronstadt is "it" - her voice in her prime had incredible clarity and was unbelievable - here she is a little rough around the edges and early days but boy, so good. Bernie Leadon on guitar - Playboy After Dark and people to spot in the crowd, lol. Saw her in concert at the Duane Allman Memorial Fieldhouse in Iowa City (inside joke, but almost real).

Of course, right behind her another unique voice, awesome in quiet but also a pure powerhouse - I give you Ann Wilson (and Nancy!) in a performance I still remember from late night TV!! Saw them in concert at the Iowa State Fair in summer of 1977!

Done now, I'm sure nobody wants me pulling out some Doris Day or Tammy Wynette or Olivia Newton-John or Sarah Vaughan!

Saw Tammy Wynette in one of the last concerts she did if not the last with George Jones. It was in July 97 I think it was. She and George performed at the Peach Festival in Gaffney SC
