Hello friends. Thought it might be time to photograph the tools during my copious free time.

This is the setup that has been in the bag for the most part all last season and all winter. Exceptions being the sim max and new artisan wedges.

The Artisan wedges came late January or early Feb , I forget. But we started the process a while before that. Well worth the wait to be fitted by the best club makers on earth , (Mike and Jaimie ) and to have the fitment , grind etc forever attached to an Artisan players number so that I can get fresh wedges identical whenever I want. They are both shafted with S400 .

Irons are Ping Blueprints with modus 130x

hybrid is a 4 loft with addi 105x

3 wood is a SFT hotmelted neutral by ping with a addi 8x

driver is a Sim Max with a proto Ventus Red ... tour head that sits open.

putter is GSS Cameron. 1.5 with sound slot and tungsten weights. The sound off this ones face is pure filth. Deep cut cavity plus sound slot equals a distinct “ ping “ sound that almost feels springy when hit flush. whole Story too long to tell on that one.

Sweet setup. I see you went back to the standard length putter. Is this a permanent move or just the putter du jour?

This one has been the mistress all along.

I had a short stint with an armlock , but with a little help from my friends , I rebuilt my stroke over the winter. Erasing the outside takeaway and grooving a new backswing so to speak. It’s automatic enough now that all I ever think of is speed. I currently own 2 putters. This one and my OG longneck Newport which is the first putter I ever owned and won’t be sold.

Wow, as a Ping guy myself, love the Blueprints, I have the same hybrid shaft in my Ping G, that putter tho!!!!, great job on the bag!!!

ha! Yep. She was digging a hole with her outside brother. So I seized the opportunity! The holes they dig i have to fill in with the tractor. No joke. Luckily they are contained to their big fenced in yard.

Thanks man ! I’ve played that shaft in hybrid and 3 wood since 2015 ish. And I’ve tested everything you can name and never sniffed kicking those shafts out .

Did you change your name on your bag back and forth, like you did on wrx? :)

Yep. Never thought the name change would cause so many heads to implode. It got to the point that changing it back was the only course. to stop the random attacks due to mis-identity and squash the idea that I had two accounts. ( never happened ) but the rumor was started. ?‍♂️

anyway. Thanks for the compliment. The wedges work as good as they look. They are starting to patina now , as they are raw. But that was the plan anyway. I’ll keep the rust to a minimum with CLR. But for me the are tools not jewels , and I use my tools daily. As you can tell on the PW and 7 iron if you look close. They get the crap beat out of them in practice.

If I told you you’d call me a liar Lol let’s just say i know someone . It’s an heirloom situation where I won’t sell it , as it would break trust that was placed in me . So money wise it’s worthless . But it’s worth much more than it’s appraised value to me for what it represents . And I’ll pass it along at some point to my boy , who also shares my initials.

Awesome wedges. I’ve got a wedge and putter fitting setup with artisan for the end of June if we return to somewhat normal by then.

Interested in the grinds and process to determine them on the wedges!

Pretty cool if you need new wedges you can simply "Go Back Jack And Do It Again" (sitting on the deck, grilling some chicken and listening to some favorite tunes).

Did you remove the dot colours or are you a silver? I've had two of mine pop out (in maybe 5 rounds and less than 100 balls on range, great Q-C right) and think it looks better, so am going to pick the others out.

Read a few threads where folks say you can pop them out with something tiny and sharp or may need acetone.

the process i used was actually the absentee method with Jamie. I shipped him my favorite set of wedges ( vokey 300 series 53/59) and they measured them from every possible direction. Then came the emails and phone conferences back and forth. Not too many. But I will say that Jamie spent over an hour with me at one sitting by phone , asking questions about my play , likes dislikes , and feeling toward the wedges I sent in for measurements. Very thorough interview.

then we spoke several times during the build for tweaks etc. example. Mike has the idea that I might prefer his “ secret sauce “ leading edge grind for tight hard Bermuda lies. Called me up and explained that most of his tour guys get a set of wedges made for the Florida swing with this. And boy was he correct. That little bit of help getting the leading edge lower end under the ball is absolutely perfect in my conditions.

I hear you on the grille. I’ve grilled more in the last 6 weeks than in the last 6 months . Almost every night that’s not raining. I’ve perfected the baked potato on the grille timing , where I sear a couple filets or pork chops just before the potatoes come off.

They are actually green dot. For some reason it doesn’t show up. If you enlarge the 3 iron you can barely tell.

id bet you can pop them out with a metal pick tool or maybe even a tooth pic if you apply some acetone for a minute. I agree. The dot color doesn’t do much for me. I do like green so it doesn’t bug me either.
