Is it just me but I have never dealt with so many time wasters .I have sold on here for 12 years and its getting worse every time I list something I get people say "send me your paypal " or can you hold them" but they never ever follow through .If it was just one time I wouldn't care but its every time now .

I've honesty had better luck on eBay lately. Don't have to worry about tire kickers and low ballers looking for mint stuff for pennies. Still prefer to deal with seasoned members on here, but if they're not interested within a day or two, I just move on to eBay with a 3 day auction. PayPal is steadily filling up on eBay sales now, whereas it used to be stuff I traded on here.

It's funny because on here everyone hits it 350, drives a lambo, and has a bunch of rolex's but they'll try to beat you down $20 on an item that is already selling for $25 below the market price.

Or respond with "I think I can get it cheaper on eBay". Mind you I've already surveyed eBay and I'm lower. But second, why didn't you just buy on eBay in the first place. I'm done here for sure. Even with fees eBay is much easier and the buyers are more serious.

Doubt they care. They care about viewed ads and the few paid site sponsors & pinned + $5 ads in the BST. If it creates income, they care. If it doesn’t generate income, they don’t give a rats butt. At this point, it’s not a side project, it’s a business. It pays the few at the top to travel & follow the tour taking pictures. Probably gets many of them free equipment too. How fun would that be if you were a golf enthusiast? Plus make money doing it?!?

I’m sure it doesn’t help that we have 4.4 mill people filing for unemployment and need the money. Those of us lucky enough to still be working still want a bargain. But I’ve found just selling the whole lot of a posting at one time saves shipping costs and time. No more haggle take it all or don’t take any

This is part of the reason why I don’t ho as much as I used to. It’s just a hassle to move items along if I decide not to keep the clubs.

At the same time, I’ve gotten patient with the items I do list. I’ve closed listings for weeks and even months but somehow a buyer emerges and purchase them.

GolfWrx on the surface is now in the 13th long month of an alleged amazing robust upgrade of the GolfWRX forum software with promised numerous modern bells, whistles, functionality, look and feel. Yeah OK. It appears that the aptly named Vanilla software has provided zero of that. That can not be honestly argued on any level as it would be totally dishonest. Such a shame in spite of what was promised by WRX management.

It's Def changed. I haven't experienced the low balling like others, but it's not what it was.

When I first joined, you were not allowed to sell clubs in plastic or new/uncut shafts. Now? Much different as I see clubs in wrappers daily. though new shafts are rarely posted. This prevented the mass movers and flippers.

Also, that was before big name ebayers (pro clubs, Mike's golf outlet, global golf, eBay in general) made it easier to find a club at a discount. So by nature there was just more gear listed here. If it came up and you wanted it, you bought it. Now it would be careless to not compare pricing a bst item against one of those other sites. .

Things are cyclic. There used to be a core group when I first joined and they moved on but were replaced by newer group. But in both cases you would see a post by many of them daily. But now? The only stables I really see are the club guys like Stuart and jagpilot. Most the guys I used to know are gone. I barely post anymore.

Would also add this was when golf experienced a downturn, where many courses started closing and the pace of new players slowed down.

And lastly. What I refer to as the 'snap' or website change. I don't need to get into that, but how it went down left many members with a bad taste. I think much of it had to deal with loyalty. Members felt loyal to the site (see excitement abt buying wrx swag) but didn't feel it was reciprocal. None more contentious than the removal of feedback (ie the policing of members by members)

When that core left, what was left was a vaccum that was replaced with the current group. Most ads are tire kicked (cause they're comparing online prices) low balled, or simply.. Man this a great shaft, I have this club, etc just to get to 75 posts.

I see a lot of us posting in here have been on these boards for many years. Join Dates going back to 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 in here. we've all been here more than 10yrs and seen this site go way backwards with this "NEW" upgrade and they way threads are handled now with little communication. for us to see and vent our frustration only for it to fall on deaf ears makes this place less enjoyable.

A lot of this has to do with sellers just not doing their homework and asking way too much for what they are selling. I see items on the BST all the time that are extremely overpriced compared to what they are actually selling for on eBay. Like it or not eBay is the barometer for asking prices on most items. If you have a quality item listed at a reasonable price it will generally sell quickly.

Very much a sticking point, the constant carrot dangling of feedback and "its coming back" for months on end now probably close to year+. I was like you, took me years to build up 200+ feedback of all positive....just to have it nixed over night, for reasons still not explained. All we got was essentially it was a temporary, necessary "hiccup" due to the updates (that were very negatively received) but it was coming back. But as weve watched the site descend to what its become now, its become fairly clear that it was a made decision to remove it to change the BST into what it is now where pinned/sponsorship are the driving factors.

That being said, I dont trip over the fact its a free site and for most golf questions its one of the better sources of info out there.....its just a sad shell of what it was, and has gone from the best place to get gear imo to somewhere among the ranks of low level golf hocking sites. Just be transparent with rules/regulations, or driving factors of the website lol....."yo, we need paid to keep this going....so had to make some changes, sorry not sorry" Feel that is totally understandable, and the majority would get it.

13 months later and this site is nothing like it used to be. Many empty promises along the way from the owners. But, in fairness, the owners of WRX were sold a load of crap. I'm sure someone will pop in here like the Iraqi Minister of Defense and say something along the lines of 'daily uniques are up, and things are going fine...nothing to see here'. But, I don't believe it. User experience here compared to other boards is unbelievably sub-standard. But, hey, "we're Forum rats just like you are, and we're committed to making this place the better than it used to be". Ironically the same promises were made on GolfOpinins 5+ years ago. Richard and Ryan own the site, so, there shouldn't be a conflict in posting the URL.

Spend 10 minutes on this site, and, compare the User experience. UI doesn't take 8-10 seconds to load on each page, and its easy to navigate.

Honestly, it's a better site than WRX.http://www.golfopinions.com/forums/forum/16-equipment-opinions/

I'm a relative newcomer compared to the rest of you lot (only 2012 start date), but I've done deals with about half of you. I consider myself respectful but direct. I have openly questioned many of the changes and the way management has communicated them. The outright disdain for longtime members appropriately questioning some of the decisions has really soured me on the site. I spent about four months without visiting much after the influx of ads in threads and the way the site owners responded to that criticism/feedback.

As for BST, I have beaten this drum so many times I couldn't even open this thread out of a sense of deja vu. The owners have metrics and data, and they are making all decisions on a very calculated (but near-sighted) basis. They are willing to sacrifice the old WRX feeling of community for short-term profits. I do not believe this is sustainable, but for the time being they see themselves as the only player in the game. As little as they care about BST and feedback, it will come to haunt them as it is a big draw of the site and it is deteriorating steadily.

I would like to say I'm going to stop using BST, but I still prefer it over almost every other avenue for club hoing. I am definitely more selective, and it can be more of a hassle, but it is still the option with which I feel most comfortable. Ebay is big and scary and confusing to me, and not being able to communicate with sellers is a huge negative when every description is just "used but in great shape". I am too cheap (read: poor) to buy new clubs (at least current year clubs), so I just have to be patient. It is disheartening to hear many of the best members will stop selling here, and it is why I said earlier that this path is not sustainable for GWRX, despite what they have decided. The more good members to move on from BST, the more quickly the rest of the good members will follow suit until all that is left are tire kickers and people listing used clubs for nearly new prices "because I just want to get out of it what I spent" (note: that's not how it fucking works, you dunce).

Okay, this is more than I wanted to say, and more than anyone should bother to read. If you made it this far, forgive me for this rant. I will try to limit it to once per month or so. Thanks to all of you who have made this site the place I love, and I will be sad to see you go even though we don't know each other. I wish you the best. Please go build a site where I can come join the community.

Just a quick question, totally off topic (since I have the bars and can’t post new topics)... let’s say you sold a set of SuperSpeed training sticks on BST, and your buyer had a change of heart and returned the item. Couldn’t you re-post the item again without the 30 day rule applying? I’ve had items returned in the past and reached out to a mod and was told re-listing again was OK. Sorry for derailing this thread. I just couldn’t ask in the appropriate thread, since it got closed because... I don’t know why. Posts are just closed now.

I just can’t get items to move like I used to in the BST. Almost all of my items would sell a couple days after listing. Now I’m lucky to get a peep from anyone

I recently cleaned out my garage and sold about 35 times on eBay from sets of irons to single clubs. Was the easiest process and they’ll clubs were gone when the auction was done. If you need to virtually guarantee a sale eBay is the place to be.

Completely off topic: the most infuriating aspect of the new site is the overkill of ads masquerading as posts. For example, this thread at this time of my post has 28 total posts, yet Golfwrx has managed to inject 6(!!!!) ads posts in this thread!

1 of every 5 posts is a Golfwrx ad post. Come on man!
