I have two drivers (9.5 FT-3 and 10.5 905T) with the Proforce V2 65 stiff shaft, and this is without a doubt one of the best performing shafts out there.

I used to have the FT-3 with the NVS but had it reshafted with the V2 and it is night and day. The NVS used to balloon on me once in a while and the accuracy wasn't always there but the V2 has made this driver a monster (both straight and long)!

I love this shaft. i am getting rid of my Speeder 757 and playing the V2 bc it just performs perfectly. really consistent. never dissapoints in tournament play. and with such an important year in junior golf leading up to college golf i cant afford any mistakes.

For what its worth, I demo'd the shaft in the new hi-bore in 65 stiff and thought it felt a little dead. As with the old proforce, the v2 just feels too board-ish. Aldila and Fujikura have demonstrated that it is possible to design a tip stiff shaft that still feels lively...UST needs to catch up.

For the time being, I'm sticking by my NV.

i recently installed this in a nike sasquatch and couldn't be happier. i originally started with an aldila nv-75, but unfortunately with the sq head the launch angle and spin were too low so i looked for something with a lower kick point and softer tip. tried a different shaft, but it was too and and too much spin. spent a weekend trying different shafts. i had put the v2 on my short list of shafts i was looking at. when i got the chance to trying it and different heads i was really impressed. it was easy to load but not soft. i decided to go for it and have been so happy with the results.

i'm getting a great mid trajectory that is high enough to get caught in the wind and carry down wind, but boring enough that the wind has little affect into the wind. spin is perfect, enough to keep it up, but not so much that the wind has its way with it. for me, it was important to see how the this shaft performs in the wind and it has achieved. was also suprised because i typically prefer a 75 gram shaft, but went with the 65 in this and love it.

again, it has such a great feel. you can feel it load and feel it kick through the ball, but its dead straight and consistent. doesn't feel like a wet noodle. this very well could become my new go to shaft. highly recommend this to any one looking for a mid trajectory, mid spin shaft. plus, you can't be the cost, $65. now only if the 85 and 95 gram model weren't only through the tour shop for almost 3 times as much.

I tried not to like the V2 before I demoed it in a 905R, but had no such luck!

This shaft was livelier and more responsive than I thought it would be (demoed a 905R w/ a V2 67g stiff flex). And like a few others have mentioned already, it's about the best bang for your buck as shafts go these days!

I liken the V2 shaft to the Fujikura 761TB X I had in my 983k a few years ago which BTW was one of my favorite shafts but is often hard to find, and harder to find at a reasonable price. I love the pop and solid response I get when I make solid contact with the V2! Great for aggressive swings! (x flex)

I put reshafted 76g V2 x in my 9.5* 905T and I loved the way it played, felt and the trajectory was mid-high. I wanted to see how this setup would play before I installed one in a 905R........No disappointments here!

So I went ahead and reshafted a 905R 8.5* that I got on eBay for $315 with a V2 PROTO 76g X flex that I also got on eBay for $78.......... 45.5" and a D6 swingweight later.....

THE RESULT: One of the best drivers I've hit!! Boring mid trajectory..........PERFECT!!

I couldn't be happier!! :) I give the Proforce V2 two thumbs up!!!

Vanquish, what swing speed and tempo do you have? I am thinking about going to a V2 76gram X-stiff in an 8.5* 905r like yours. My swing speed is about 112 mph with medium fast tempo, fairly aggressive tempo. Hoping it would be a good fit...

With a consistent 112mph swing speed I would go with the V2 stiff flex. It will handle the 112 just fine especially in the 905r with its deep bore hosel. Just my .02 worth. My swing speed is 110 and I installed the V2 76gram stiff in my FT-3 9.5* Tour driver without tipping it and just butt trimmed to lenght and it is perfect even when I go hard at it.

I've been on a monitor a couple of times and my swing speed is in the 115-118 range. I would consider my tempo not overly fast but fairly aggressive nonetheless. The x flex in the V2 feels comfortable to me, but that wasn't before demoing the club in stiff flex which wasn't that bad either. The shaft itself (outside of the 2 flexes) had characteristics I was looking for. The end result was going with the flex I felt fit my swing better and also the one that felt more comfortable to me.

So I agree with VTHOKIES in that the stiff flex 76g v2 might fit your swing in a 905R. But, I would really try to demo them both (outside if you can) if I were you. I know that not all shops carry x-flexes or 8.5* 905R's for you to demo, but you can at least demo a 9.5* (67g or 76g) V2 in stiff flex which more common in shops and go from there.

Hope this helps!

It is a very good shaft, just dont get the same feeling with it as i do a different shaft. only thing i can think of it wasnt set up correctly for me. I would recommend it to someone wanting a shaft with a alittle more flexable tip with a mid trjectory. I give it a 3.75 stars.

Alpha rX460 10.5* with a V2 65 Stiff at 45". No additional tipping. I am more of a hitter than a swinger, but my transistion down isn't too jarring or quick.

The Alpha head is a high launch low spin deal with a sweet spot closer to the middle of the face rather than the top third.

Nothing in particular stands out about the shaft yet. It's a mid to mid high launch shaft when contact is made in the middle of the face- anything on the top third of the face is super high launch (not balloon-y).

Shaft has a decent kick to it.

I'll update and edit this when I've had more time with it.

Anybody have any feedback on the hybrid version?

I'm demoing a Nickent hybrid w/ the V2 84R shaft and it feels dead/board-like to me. Not exactly sure what my swing speed is but I hit my 7 iron around 150 yds and 250-270 with the driver (solid contact of course). I imagine stronger swingers would be able to load the shaft, unlike me.

I have the V2 in my FT3 and was having problems with it. I kept hitting a high fade. I recently started swinging at the ball a little more and have had great results. When going after this shaft it performs much better then if you don't. Overall a good shaft that is giving me some extra yards, and a few extra fairways.

i have the 75gram x in a 9.5 905r and love it. I like a high loft, stiff shaft combo so that I don't feel like I need to 'lift' the ball to get it out there - I can play it back in the stance a tad and almost hit down on it. I swing about 115 - 123 when 3-putting - and it works just great. Lots of 'pop', tons of control, ball doesn't go too high.

I have the Titleist D2 with an Aldila VS Proto 65 S shaft, but was wanting to change that to a V2 shaft. The problem is that everywhere that I look the D2 seems to be offered with the 76g shaft. Having never tried that weight (and because I live in Antigua and can't demo them) I was just wondering whether there is any particular reason that they seem to be offered in that weight everywhere I look (even on the Titleist website) and is there an advantage to having it heavier or is simply personal preference? My brother recently reshafted a Rapture driver with the V2 and didn't specify weight. It came with the 67g shaft and I like it alot. I guess at the end of the day my question is whether or not it is NOT recommended to use the lighter shaft in the D2? Thanks for your time and patience as I struggle to articulate what I want to find out. :D

I find that i'm hitting the ball straighter with the V2. Would you happen to know what are the major differences between the Proto and the V2? Does the Proto have a lower kick point? And if so does this mean that it has more action in it? Sorry but I am fairly new to golf. I've only been playing 9 months, and up until recently my irons were completely wrong in that they were regular flex graphite shafts, and seeing that i'm 35 and swing about 112mph they were hard to control. It took me this long to figure out that my equipment was working against me. I recently purchased the Titleist 755's with steel shafts in stiff flex and couldn't be happier. Now i'm just trying to make a good decision for my driver.
