Sellers Remorse!! Why did I sell them????

In true golfwrx fashion I sold my JPX 900 Forged irons to try something else and now I am kicking myself for doing it!! So much so that I have been looking EVERYWHERE for another set but have been unable to find a set with PX LZ 5.5 or 6.0 shafts in the same shape as my previous set at a decent price.

I too know what it is like to be a stupid. I sold a mint Cameron Catalina and Studio Design 5 about 8 years ago. My logic was "I'll never use them so I might as well get some cash". I can't touch one for anywhere close to what I sold them for or in that condition.

Hopefully some come your way for not too much more money, but you and I both know you will just have to cough it up to replace them.

Shot the four best rounds of my life with a set of Ping i25's. Went to a Titleist fitting event and dude sold me on a set of AP2s. Haven't broken 72 since. High numbers went higher. Been looking ever since. They just had the magic.

I once gave away a hybrid that I really liked because I figured I was going to get a smaller "player's" hybrid and work balls into pins from 225....you know, because I'm a tour player and all.

After about 4 hybrid heads over a year I started to loathe that I gave the hybrid away. It was an original rbz tour 3. I figured i was never going to find a hybrid like it again.

Well, a few weeks of searching ebay and one popped up...barely a ball mark on the face, for....$40. I snatched it up and it's been in the bag for over a year.

Keep your head up, you'll find a good set. You may just have to piece together heads and shafts...and sign for the right score.

Saw those but they are asking way to much for what condition they are in. They are selling them on eBay as well for over $600 shipped.

My only regret was selling the set of Srixon 765s I bought a few years ago for a great price. I rationalized that the Modus 130s were just too heavy for me and flipped them for a good profit. Kicking myself to this day. Still cant find a set for the price I paid. I'll never forget the feeling of that pured 4 iron I hit off of the ninth tee and have yet to find a club that replicates that feel. I'm sure I'll end up with a backup set of 785s at some point.

Bought a Callaway X-forged UT in 21⁰ for an absolute steal a while back. Couldn't hit it as it was 2⁰ upright and was fighting hooks and sold it for a small profit. Year and a bit later, build my bag to go 3w to 5 iron and was looking for something to fill the gap, I hit hybrids too high and a utility was found to be the solution.

Get fit into, you guessed it. X-forged utility 21⁰ but bent up 1⁰. Kicking myself as a reshaft and lie adjustment would have been way cheaper than what it costs now for a new one. Oh well, live and learn.

Second swing is the only place I found a set that is at least 4-PW and project X 5.5 or 6.0 shafts by they want over $600 for them with their rating of an 8, which is not really that good.

I’m asking on here in WTB, and two other sites on FB and I’m checking every site I can think of including eBay and have come up with nothing!

Many sets of clubs, both woods and irons and a few putters here and there. The biggest regrets are a few sets of persimmon woods I have parted with. Specifically a extremely nice set of 1953 MacGregor 945W (1-4, solid red insert) and a set of 1950-1952 693s (1-3). The driver from that set of 693s was a jumbo head (just shy of 1 7/8").

LW:  Scratch Golf 1018 forged 58° DS, Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 stiff

Putter:  Byron Morgan Epic Day custom, Salty MidPlus cork grip

Grips:  BestGrips Augusta Microperf leather slip on

2017 M2 3 wood. Love the epic subzero driver so figured why wouldn’t I love the 3 wood. Traded in the M2 during one of those trade in bonus deals, and regretting it since. Even bought one off eBay to replace the magic and nope.

Sold the 2011 TM Rescue 21⁰ head because I was like, "man this thing feels great, I hit it high and straight but there has got to be some forgiveness and distance I am missing gaming a 8 yo head".

Went for a fitting and got the G410 19⁰  Hybrido ..and it was just the worst, hooks and flat flight. No trust.

Been on the look out ever since for a mint Rescue head, have not found one yet..

Now I will not sell an old club before the new one is validated on the course in contest play!

I had a set of Dunlop Tour Special 3-PW looked identical to Srixon Pro 100's that I had brought back from Japan in 1980. I was stationed in the D.C. area in 1987 and playing in Maryland one weekend a guy I got paired with made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Never found another set.

I keep going back to one of my favorite set of irons I have probably owned them 4 times Titleist DCI 990 3-pw. I found a set that was mint and I am not letting them go. If I replace them they are becoming a back up set of irons.

I bought a set of LH Miura CB's one day in early January a few years ago. Regripped them and buffed them out. Sold them at the end of February without ever taking them to a course because I let a couple of genius's here convince me I wasn't good enough to hit them. I usually don't listen to anybody so I'm not sure why I sold them but I regret it.

If you love them so much, who cares if they are a little more than you want to pay? They are still going to be cheaper than buying a new of 919 Tours or worse, a revolving door of irons you are unhappy with. $200 at the end of the day is not a make or break over the course of a year if you can cut out the little money sinks. You likely don't need the 10GB/unlimited phone plan for $80/month and would get along just fine with a 5GB one for $50/month. Cut out the morning stop at Starbucks. Cancel that one subscription service you hardly use over the others. Cut out that one really expensive buddy's weekend that you really don't enjoy playing in anyways because John is a tool. Don't grab McDonalds for lunch. Don't buy a beer at the course. And I could go on.

Lots of ways to save money for something in good condition if it is what you want if you step back and really look at what you are spending your money on. You could also buy the ones that aren't in that great condition anyways, I mean, they are golf clubs and meant to be beat up. Sure they don't look quite as nice something but they will still fly and feel the same
