PXG Hybrids......talk about your experiences

Hey there, just curious what everyone’s experiences have been with these? Looks like there standard setting is flatter than other OEM’s. What was performance like, favorite model etc?

Great hybrids! Had the Titleist 816 H1s previously. I play the 22 and 19 degree. Originally had Gen 1 and now have Gen 2. Both are outstanding. The Gen 2s have a more muted sound a spin a touch less. Performance is similar. Main difference is looks imo. Cheers.

My 0317 are the best hybrids I've ever had. I would say anti-left, i would say dead straight. Not sure if it's the tensi blue shafts or the heads, but high and straight.

if there is any complaint it's that they are a tad shorter than some other but that may be from the height and spin i get. Super easy to stick greens.

The Gen 2's are awesome and have the best feel. Just point and shoot with total confidence, they knocked my Adams Pro A12 hybrids out of the bag after almost 10 years of hitting them.

they're just that good and easy to hit

Good stuff. Gen2 17* is my next purchase.

Have a gen 2 17 coming looking forward to it depending on how it is may add the 22 to take out 4 iron

The Fujikura pro 2.0 seemed to be the best option for me

I have played both. I am currently playing gen2, and it is awesome - 19 degree 85 gram hc hzrdus black. It is the best I have ever hit a 19 degree. Also they look amazing. Compact in size yet launch high and are easy to hit.

I have a gen2 4 hybrid and it's one of my favorite clubs in the bag. So easy to hit and good feeling and sound. Looks great too. Very underrated. I have the evenflow blue in mine.

0341x is the best hybrid I’ve played. I struggle with hybrids but these are easy to hit, launch high, are workable and are not oversized. Paired with the right shaft they are high performers

Waiting for my Gen2 19* to be shipped. Love all the positive feedback on this club, cant wait to get it.

Same. I am intrigued by the looks/feel. Since I won't be getting fit, the adjustability seems nice. Fuji Pro 2.0 sounds like soft handle, firm mid, firm tip. Probably a decent fit for me.

I like that I can adjust it flat and move the weights around. Currently have the SIM Max hybrid and it may just be a bit too upright for me and has no adjustability.

Recently did a full bag fitting. My original hybrids, G410, were good. The PXG were a tad better, dispersion and distance wise. For me, they are higher launch and lower spin. The head is smaller than the 410, more compact with nice sound and feel.

I think the key was my fitter adjusting the weights around until we got them dialed in. Nice solid straight shots and baby cuts with not having to change my swing. Got my gapping perfect now.

I have a Gen 2 19* with an Oban Kiyoshi Purple 05 (100g) and it is my favorite club in the bag. I can flight it down, shape it both ways, and it seems perfectly at home when I swing out of my shoes or when I choke down and take a chippy swing. If I didn't love playing a traditional 4-iron, I'd definitely put another PXG hybrid in play. I literally find myself trying to find an excuse to use this club on the course in situations where I have no business using it... it is that good.

hit the gen2 hybrids during a fitting. 3* flat with the heavier weights on toe for most toe/fade bias. I was hitting baby cuts with them. I'm usually a duck hook left hybrid hitter, so I've never gamed hybrids til this year. Testing the super hybrid right now, but I was very impressed with the pxg's.

Is there only a 3* flat or can the adjustable hosel be set for 1 or 2 deg flat?

I believe it's 1.5* and 3* flat adjustable.

I think there are 8 settings:

-standard, 1 degree loft up or down both with .5 degree flatter, 1.5 degree loft up or down both with 1.5 degree flatter, 3 degrees flat, and 1 degree loft up or down both 2.5 degrees flatter

I hit gen1 a bit further. I think gen2 is more anti left (which I like). Gen2 looks nicer

So hmm pxg gen2 or ping g410?

Pxg is way better looking and more adjustable.

I took the leap yesterday and ordered my 19’ with the Fujikura Pro 2.0, your feedback has helped but I have hit it at a previous fitting and this is a beautiful club....

....I also took a leap on a 3 wood, same shaft.

Now the wait begins for the UK shipment!!

I hit the gen1 17* on the course yesterday for the first time. What a great club!

I’m really trying to resist the urge to buy a 17* and 22* with the deal they have going on.
