Agreed like the new position in the 5. I have the weight kit so this can be fun.

Yeah, and it looks like the same weights which is nice of them to not change! If they have the sound and feel of the 785 that will be a plus too...

Used mu 785 driver back in early March for my first round of the year, hit 12 of 14 fairways at 285 average, which a primo numbers for me. Put my bag in the bag room and haven’t been able to get it since than due to Covid... whoops.

crown supposedly only has alignment mark. so different than the clean 565/765, but probably not too different than the 85 series.

I still have the z565 as my backup. Got it for $100 brand new and it holds it's own with anything.

No alignment mark on the z545. That was a nice driver. Remember it fondly.

That was one of the best drivers I've owned. As usual, Srixon products are very underrated.

has anyone heard of what shafts they are pairing with these? Srixon usually does a great job on stock shafts

Yes indeedy. Golfio has some new old stock z545 9.5 drivers with stock KK shaft on sale this week for $200 with free shipping. (Weird how these new clubs from 5 years ago pop up, but this is a very reputable site.) Can’t tell if they come with headcover and Srixon’s wrench (it is just a torque bit) but if you went only by performance, hard to believe a $500 driver is worth $300 more than the z545.

I agree the performance is there for sure! I picked up a Z745 and a Z765 with exotic shafts for cheap to try along my z785 and performance was side by side but the look and feel and sound of the z785 wasn't even close. Its perfection to me. The Z745 and the z765 drivers were too tin canny and loud but they did perform!

Interesting to see Glover using the FL version on tour when he could use anything. Really underrated drivers, I heard years ago Srixon had a bunch of wood/driver patents but most people in NA just think about their irons.

Definitely worth a try, heck I still would like to try the Z785 driver.

Srixon delayed releases until next year. From my understanding that was done before the virus hit here

Have you tried to replace your proprietary square screw with the more commonly used Torx screw? I play with a kid who did this replacement.

One of the golf spy guys posted on their forum after talking with several brands about a month ago. At that time the other brands hadn’t made any decisions but we now know ping is postponing til after pga show.

i don’t recall what he said was the timeline for Srixon.

I’m trying to decide which irons to get too. Already have the 785 driver, f85 13.5 3 wood, and 18 degree u85 2 iron. I don’t really want to wait a year since I have no irons right now lol

Srixon makes the best combo sets, from gapping to feel, it’s how it should be.
