Callaway and Cobra both have terrible stock colors. Make a neutral color the stock option and save the wild colors for custom options.

I've tried to be fit for the Sim and Sim Max, both times the Mavrik was better... And then my G400 Max was still better than it. Maybe if I could custom order the Sim with a heavier head, but as standard Titleist and Ping are the only ones that seem to swingweight decent in a 45" build with a midsize grip.

Callaway told me they literally could not get the Mavrik to D4.5. The rogue white is CB but it's not that grip heavy. The Sim demo had similar issues, too light.

If I can't demo it at a reasonable sw I'm not going to buy it and just hope. Also those stupid face screws, not buying another tmag driver until they're gone.

Callaway Mavrik SZ 15* - Riptide 70 6.5
Cobra King 3 Utility - Kuro Kage 100X

Wilson FG Tour V6 - X100
Glide 3.0 46, 51, 56, 60 - X100

So i have a mavrik regular now with riptide 50 stiff. I also have a regular rogue aldilla synergy 60 stiff. My rogue went any where from 230 to 260 with a few 280+ bombs. I have yet to hit over 250 with the mavrik and im not sure why? Thats also with putting some all out full +speed swings on it which i normally dont do. I swing maybe 90% with the rogue and have had longer drives. Could it be the rogue shaft suits me better? Im lost. I do still like the mav though.

Would love to see this done again at the END of 2020... Can't help but feel there isn't a whole lot of real world data for us WRXers right now...

I think companies should move to toward fitting drivers much like putters in regards to the face balance based on their face rotation in their swings or the very least showing the face balance distinction of each driver. Some drivers are more toe heavy and others more face balanced. Some swings have more face rotation than others. So pear shaped (toe heavier) drivers will likely fit swings with more face rotation and half moon (more face balanced) drivers will fit better with swings that have less face rotation. Titleist has done that a little in the past with the more pear shaped driver for those who want to work the ball more and the more half moon shaped drivers who want to hit the ball straighter. I really would like to see companies build on that because it really makes a difference fitting the shape of the driver and face balance to the swing. It would be good to have some distinction on the face balance in drivers.

I wonder where this would have placed if it was an option to vote for. I know it’s not a 2020 driver, but it’s still just as good as anything else for me.

The new EXS line has tested very well across many different types of golfers. It has been right down the middle for distance and accuracy with no real test where it had significant outlier shots. Its a solid choice for a forgiving affordable club. Lots of tech and high quality components (esp. shafts) and assembled in the USA.

There's something special about the Sim for sure. Look at Peter Finch's self driver fitting and also Ian from TXG. The Sim is unbelievably long and straight on the mishits. I found the same thing when I tried it and I haven't even tried any drivers the past few years because I knew my King LTD was higher MOI than pretty much everything that would give me the same ideal numbers it gave me. But on the misses it wasn't close

I tried the SIM on the simulator vs the Cobra, Ping, and Titleist, and just didn't get get numbers with the TM no matter the combo of head and shaft, I really expected to like it. My driver until last fall was a 2017 M2. I got a Ping 410 LST last fall, but wanted to try the new Cobra this spring. Numbers were good on the simulator, but on the course, not so much, never seemed to see the ball speed I had read about, I'm back to my Ping.

I have a golfing partner who is a very good low single digit (won our club championship a few years ago) who switched to the SIM about a month ago. He was playing an older Ping before, which I thought he hit pretty good. He hits it as far or farther than me, he is tall and thin, and he has a fairly upright swing and a pretty steep angle of attack. I asked him why he switched, he said he got fit for one and on the simulator the SIM was hands down the best for him (I think he spins the driver a bit more than I do). But my god, on the course, he has hit it terrible, and hit some really awful looking drives with his SIM, low weak fades that go nowhere, if I didn't know what he was hitting, I would have guessed he was mishiting an old SLDR 430.... I wonder how long he sticks with it....
