Struggling With Ping G410 Plus

Recently, I decided I wanted a new driver and because of the pandemic I just decided to buy a head and shaft off of ebay that I thought I would like. I decided to buy a Ping G410 Plus and pair it with a Graphite Design Tour AD BB 6x shaft. I have not been able to hit on Trackman to look at numbers but out on the course and range it launches extremely high and seems to be spinning. I love the head and would prefer to keep it if there are any other shaft options that would help with this.

Also, my previous driver was Taylormade M5 with a Diamana Whiteboard X 60g in it. The reason for the switch is I felt like I was too inconsistent with the M5.

No shaft is going to lower launch and spin like you're looking for. You'll either need to lower loft or switch to a head that has a more forward CG like the G410 LST

If you liked the spin characteristics of M5, G410 LST is a better replacement. A cheaper option than new shaft is to loft down on your G410 Plus, which will reduce height and spin.

I recently moved on from my G410 plus to the SIM. Just a better fit for me, less spin lower launch and if anything I’m finding more fairways.

I played the g410 plus last season and really liked it. Was paired with the Fuji pro 2.0 Ts 6x. It did launch high even at 8* but it went forever.

chased more distance, which is dumb. Traded it for a lst model. Meh, it was ok. Then sold that to fund a sim max. Played 2 rounds with it and it was also ok. Love the look and sound of the sim max, but always had the 410 plus in the back of my mind. Traded the sim max for a 410 plus a and have a ventus black 7x in it.

I think this combo will be good. Have the loft at 9. Should be good I hope! Have 5 rounds this week. Give it a good test.

g410 is a blend of distance and forgiveness. Sim might be a touch longer on buttoned ones, by the ping is not far behind and it is more forgiving.

wish ping would come out with a carbon g410 line. Would be very good

Before you put the club on eBay - spend the money you'd probably lose on a trade in and go get fit.

Different swings shaft/head combos perform differently. Always get fit!!

What setting is the adapter set to? If on the big or small +, change to o or small or large -.
