Lynnfield Sagamore. I am done with you forever!!

I have never been a fan of that course but it's super close to my house and when my dad is in town, it's an appropriate course for his age/ability. So now that courses are opening I am checking rates.

These a**holes are charging $38/65 to WALK 7 days a week!!! There is no weekday/weekend/twilight rate. So i checked all the courses in the area and NONE are price gouging like this.

If I hated that course before, they are dead to me now and I will NOT return there. I understand the times but when you are the only one doing it in your neighborhood that is "not the norm".

I also saw this the other day while I was checking into the local courses. Bold business strategy, interested in how it plays out for them. Unfortunately it may be another course closure in our area. I feel the same as you. Not interested in playing there.

I drove by the course 3x this weekend, not that busy!! I never want to see a business fail but if you pull this A-hole move then you deserve your fate as that course has a loyal client base and you just gave them the middle finger!

i don’t live there and don’t know the course. keep in mind that the course hasn’t been closed and has had $0.00 in revenue the last two months. i’m sure many of their fixed operating costs have been in place. they have bills to pay also and might be in danger of going under.

What does “$38/65 to WALK 7 days a week” mean?

9 holes $38 18 holes $65.

That is one of the oldest courses on the North Shore so leads me to believe the property is paid for (been in the same family for decades) and a very busy course throughout the year. Their customers would have supported them. If all the other ones in the area were doing it I would get it but when you stand out so blatantly it's gonna nip you.

I'm in the same boat as you , we have a course about an hour and ten minutes north of us and they are charging $80 to

walk on the weekend , I'm done with them plenty of courses charging far less and are closer to us , I really can't believe that they'd charge that much for walking .

They’ve probably lost a ton of revenue from being closed and I would assume outings and leagues have been postponed or canceled. I’ve never played the course and know nothing about their previous year rates, but I doubt they’re raising them to rip people off

Your poor financial planning should not be thrust upon the customer unless it is the last resort...as it may very well turn into the last resort. I understand they have fixed costs to cover, but all businesses are struggling in some way. I've not seen any other course much around with rates.

I mean its a shitty course, but thats not an outrageous price for 18 holes?
