Bought Arccos tags today to replace the what appears defunct Game Golf.

This question for anyone that uses them, I know the phone needs to go into your front pocket, but what if it was mounted to say a clickgear cart that was within a few feet of where the actual hit taking place?

Anyone tried this before? I don't mind the phone in the pocket, but if it could be mounted would be better for me.

Wait for the Arccos Link which would eliminate the necessity of having the phone in your pocket.

The email the sent recently said link would be ready for sale in July.

If you have an Apple Watch with GPS, you can use that instead of the link (or having phone in front pocket).

Guys, can you guys the arccos sensors in "non-arccos" grips? I current use shot scope, which has similar tags you just "screw" into the cap of grip. They are only maybe 1/8'' thick, so they look a bit thinner than these... but I do not want to spend $17 a grip just to use them. If they have a similar screw down application, can they be used in any ol grip? I'd just be extra careful placing them back into my bag.

Yes, you can. I have been using them for about a year now and really like the data they provide. Don't like having a phone in my pocket but I have gotten used to it. Will be glad when they finally release the Link so I don't have to use my phone (will believe it when I see it for the release of the Link - - - as they have been talking about it for over a year now). That said, I use the Grip Masters Roo leather grips and the hole where the Arccos sensors goes is slightly larger than normal grips and the sensor does need to be screwed back down on occasion with these grips vs standard grips. Other than that they work great.

Awesome to hear! I really like how the software for across can at least do a rough shots gained Stat and looks like it can accountg for wind and slope on the app. Shot scope seems a bit lacking compared to that.

If I combine with an android watch, I assume I can get GPS on my wrist? I hate having to use the phone to get my yardages and I've stopped using a laser bc it makes me too pin happy (I shoot to center of green on anything over 120). If the app doesn't eat up too much battery though, I might not mind... I use 18birdies on courses im not familiar with and I can leave the phone unlocked with the app open for a full 18 with no problem.

Should be able to utilize GPS using watch. However, I currently don't use the Arccos app for anything other than shot tracking during play and battery usage is pretty darn good. That said, when I first got the sensors I did use the app to its full potential and was able to get a full round in with plenty of juice in the battery left. Currently, along with Arccos for the club data, I only use a SX500 (mainly for unfamiliar courses) and laser for yardages.
