Bradley putter. I love his work but would agree this isn’t one that I like. You should follow him on Instagram. Really cool guy and great craftsman.

Maybe it was designed by WRX troll "legend" putter designer Opinder.

Maybe it’s an important piece of Bradley history but any of the follow up designs look so much better.

The bark must be some kind of tree or forest fire result in the OP. Just doesn’t have that “Bradley” look that I see on his other putters and social media.

The IG post for that putter states it was the first live-edge Widowmaker that he ever made. A “prototype” in essence. I bet it looks better in person. Also, this was before he was doing more high-gloss finishes which makes the wood really pop.

At the risk of seeming like I have some affiliation with Bradley Putters, which I do not, here are some examples that show the quality of his work. Again, I don’t even own one of his putters but don’t think it’s fair to judge his putters based off of that one example.

P.S. He is also a veteran has helped our military and effectively closed down his shop when the COVID crisis hit to focus his engineering and machining expertise towards making medical supplies (face shields, splitters for allowing one ventilator to treat multiple patients, etc.). If nothing else, those two facts have earned him my respect.

I’m not actually a veteran, I just worked as an engineer closely with the military. But thanks for the kind words! And yeah, my live edge putters are the most polarizing of the bunch. People either love them or hate them. Haven’t done one in a while though!

My mistake. I thought that you had some connection to the military.

Keep doing what you do. Your products may not be for everyone but the definitely fill a much needed void amidst all of the Ansers and Spiders.

Functional art. My 5 year old chose this block of wood as a Christmas present, as he loves the colour gold. I let out an audible gasp when I unboxed the putter. The depth of colour and subtle hand-shaped lines are very difficult to capture in a photo, but are stunning to behold. The putter is built to my preferred specs, has a distinct feel (which I was hoping for), and is easy to align. Competitive pricing with other boutique makers and customer service that went above and beyond. Bradley overdelivered on product and service and that combination can often be elusive in the world of custom putters. My next will be a different shape and colour combination. My 10 year old Peanut gets to pick the next block.

PS - I find the the live edge putters to be hit or miss aesthetically, but they would certainly be a conversation piece and no doubt perform.

Every time I pull this putter out of the bag it sparks a conversation. It’s the stories that get me excited about equipment.

Wish I could see the original photo's. One of my playing partners play's a Bradley, It's beautiful and he gets lots of compliments on it. I've tried it out a couple of times and it's not for me, but that probably has more to do with the fact that I'm not a huge mallet fan, than the putter itself.
