What shaft is this? TaylorMade TP Tour V-Steel Paint Break Mitsubishi Rayon TP 85 X

Brother-in-law picked up an old school TaylorMade Tour V-Steel with the paint break on the hosel and it is shafted with a TP shaft.

Only markings on the shaft are Mitsubishi Rayon TP 85 X-flex.

He hits it well but worm burners for me as it is low-low flight with the T/S (13*) head and the X-flex shaft.

Just curious which Mitsubishi shaft it may be.

Any info would be appreciated.

Those earlier Diamana TP shafts came in LT, MT, and HT versions (low/medium/high trajectory) and corresponded with the original Whiteboard, Blueboard, and Redboard respectively. Odds are that is an MT since that was probably the most popular fairway shaft, which was basically the original s83 Blueboard. Great shaft!

My foursomes partner rocked up with an 15 degree V steel last year. And hit it way better than his more modern Cally. Great fairway woods.

Best way is to pull grip and hope the etching/sticker is there.

Not familiar with how to link on the “new and improved”? vanilla software, however- back in the earlier days of forum, seem to recall Joe Kwok (joey1308 I think) making a quite extensive post with specs for lots of TaylorMade tour issue (Apples, HK, Etc...)shafts, that would be great place to start a search.
