Not looking to buy, just looking for opinions and the intended target for these two irons?

Is one consider more of a game improvement club than the other?

I haven't hit the 205's but I have a set of the 301's and I love them. Very forgiving yet workable. Consistent. I have them paired with the Oban 115's.

My comment is based on the TC-201s; haven't hit the TC-205s. If forgiveness is what you're after, I would steer clear of the TC-201s. On the other hand, if you are looking for an iron that looks and feels like a Miura blade, but that offers a little more help (exactly what I wanted), the TC-201 is perfect. I'm loving mine thus far.

Maybe that's why I haven't gotten too many comments... I should have stated 201's in the title.

So are you saying that the TC-201's are not in the game improvement category? Which model would be consider game improvement?

I compared them side-by-side with the Titleist 620 CB and found those two irons very similar. Everything about them -- down to the sole grind. The TC-201s have a tiny bit less of offset, and the finish is a little different, but they're very similar looks and forgiveness wise. From a feel standpoint, however, they were very different. The Titleist had a louder, more explosive sound, where the Miura's had a very dense, solid feel to them.

The 301s are more game improvement; the TC-201s are very much a players cavity.

301 are way more forgiving. If you don't mind some offset, they are great irons.

Tc201 are awesome, but you need some game. If you miss the sweet spot often, you will be punished some.
