I found a Unicorn in the wild!

I was in at Golf Traders looking for a new driver for my daughter's birthday when, low and behold - I found this beauty in the discount rack. To make the day even better, there was an old 907D2 with ANOTHER Grafalloy blue X in it. That old blue X has been my favourite shaft since it came out and has literally been my benchmark for shafts for ages. I haven't been able to find an original in an X flex in YEARS. I took that 905R straight to the course after and reminded myself why that driver put me on the Titleist driver path that I'm still on today. I'm probably way more excited than I should be, but this combo is such a rare find and its in awesome shape.

The grafalloy Blue in Stiff was more stout than most X's on the market now. The X could support a gorilla doing chin ups

That's what I thought, I remember that they didn't have them at retail, but I guess you could order one through retail. Someone that's in the know would have to verify that.

I've found some phenomenal clubs in fantastic shape from golf traders here in Edmonton. And they've always been way cheaper when compared to the same thing online, even when they weren't they were more than happy to price match for me. I've bought over two full bags from golf traders in the last 3 years, couldn't be happier.

i love the 905R but I couldn’t do too much with that 7.5* and that grafalloy blue x. Grafalloy s was like a telephone pole.

The fact that he mentioned Golf Traders in his post and that you can clearly see the word "Calgary" on the price label on the shaft in the third picture helped this non-Calgarian figure it out...

I don't even know what to compare the X to. I don't like the feel of a lively shaft so this thing was always like an old pair of shoes.

I had a 905S with the Graffalloy Blue S and wish I had never sold it. One of the best shafts ever made. It was like a telephone pole but I liked that coming from playing XS steel shafts in persimmon drivers. I have 3 more Titleist drivers, one is a 905R which is my gamer, and they all have the old ProForce V2 66gram stiff. I ordered them from Titleist and had the custom shop tip them just so they would have the feel similar to the Blue.
