Miura BB’s or the new TC?

Anyone hit either of the new baby blades or the TC? Hearing great stuff about both but it’s hard to past anything but the BBS???? Decision time....

I'm on the fence about the TC's as well. Looking at the custom options from Miura Giken.

I went with the TCs. The clincher, for me, was that I still have the amazing Miura feel. Honestly, I'm not sure how forgiving the TCs are -- they feel pretty harsh on mishits -- but they look and feel like a blade, which is what I wanted. The offset is minimal (and I bent them 1 degree weak to reduce it a little more), the topline is thin, the blade-length is short...everything I liked about the MB 001 and 101s, but with a little more help. I'm a huge fan so far.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Just a tad more help.

The help in this kind of club is hard to quantify. I'm inclined to say they can't be all that much more forgiving than the MB 001 or similar. I have talked to some very good players who thought the BB dug quite a bit and was very, very punishing. Usually higher HCs that say a blade is super forgiving.

I just received a combo TBZero and TC set. Both are really good, happy to answer any questions. I think the MCW options make the TC proposition great because you can remove offset, thin the top line, and double cut the sole.

That's exactly what I was looking to do. Copper under nickel as well.

I have a combo set of CB301 / TC201 / MB101...I also have a set of new BB heads as a project build, but I’ll assume the MB101 is an adequate stand-in here.

I think my combo set is great and all the clubs belong where they are in my bag (301 4-5, 201 6-7, and 101 8-P). That said, if I were going for a full set of any of them, it’d be the 201s...very well balanced overall.

any body have any information on tigers nike forged bade made by miura 2002 to 2005? I know it was made for tiger only, and I just cant find any information about it. thx

I believe there were only 3 sets made. One is at Miura in Himeji. Assuming the other 2 are with Eldrick.

Curious, why not consider the MC501s? They are the best muscle I've ever played. Larger blade than most traditional blades, more leading/trailing relief for larger effective bounce, wider sole for a bladey type iron, and incredibly forgiving. I had a combo set with the 301s in 4,5,6, but those were terrible for me. Every good shot I hit with the 301 came out kind of knuckley with no spin. They were forgiving on mishits from a distance perspective, but they felt terrible no matter how center face I hit them. I hit the 501s so much better. Sold the 301s and added the rest in 501s to fill out the set. More forgiving than the 1008s in my opinion, and still give the launch and spin of a blade.

I don't think you jump from BB to TC. Try the 501, and you'll be very very happy you did.
