What kind of towel/golf towel do you use?

So it’s been a crazy wet golf season and it got me wondering....what towel do all my golfwrx friends use on the course?!?!

I got one of the titleist towels with the hand loop thingy for my face and hands. It lives thrown over my cart bag top wedged between my woods and irons. I have a cheap tri-fold clipped on the bag for cleaning clubs.

Walking I have a club glove with the slit in the middle. I don't really care for using the slit as intended as it needlessly limits how much of the towel you can use. I wedge it between my persimmon woods and irons or may pull the slit over a club I don't use often. It came with a little dish rag sized towel that I keep in the drink pocket on the bag and will wipe my face with it. One side of the big towel I use for clubs. The other side for my hands.

I recently purchased Titleist 4 leaf clover towel and use a white w/ Red strip Titleist towel as well.

Vice crocodile towel hangs from my bag, plus I have a random assortment of smaller towels that I've mostly picked up from gyms which I carry to the green to wipe my ball before putting.

OH I am going to be disappointing here.I use what ever I pick up at Dollar General or buy at the thrift stores. This being a tourist mecca with hundreds of motels we buy used towels in bulk at the thrift stores. usually in bulk we can get like 20 different sized towels for like $5. So I have quite a few blue stripe motel towels. If they get where they do not clean up good they go into my shop. I hit a deal at the Salvation Army store a couple of years back I bought a shopping cart full of motel towels for $15 right at 75 towels.

I have one of those giant BodyArmor towels like youd find on DJs bag.

My hero. Every year I splurge on a spiffy new towel at Dollar General or better yet, the Dollar Tree. It becomes this years face towel... last years face towel becomes this years club cleaning towel....last years club cleaning towel goes to the club repair workbench in my garage.... last years club repair towel has so much dried epoxy and melted ferrule plastic on it that it can stand on its own....thats when it goes into the trash. I call this process, "The Circle of Life"

I use a Jani-King caddy towel that was left in my locker after the Houston Open last year.

Whoever posted that link to the knockoff Cayce towels needs to put a sticky at the top. Ordered 2 of them and can’t be more pleased.

Clubglove towel in bag, the corresponding pocket towel goes in right back pocket to wipe ball on green. I have a spare towel to wipe face in the rain gear pocket. A novelty Bama towel hangs on the clip because it was a first Christmas gift from my wife.

A generic large white one.... gets cleaned when I wash my truck with it.

^Same as above. Generic large white one. And I wrap it around the back of the woods and then inside of the irons and then the two sides hang down on the outside of the wedges.

I’ve got so many towels and 90% I don’t use. The best towel I have found and still use is the one I accidentally took home from the gym. Actually they said to keep when I realized what I had done. it’s basically a hotel style towel. Absorbs water well and works great..

I go to a local fabric seller. They also buy used towels from laundry suppliers and they wash and sanitize them. I can buy 10 white medium sized towels (the kind you get at your golf course for showering) for $20. That usually lasts me a season with a couple of washing and then I toss them and buy more.

Carry a few...

"Hotel" hand towel that I keep wet for wiping off grips and hands.

Another "hotel" bath towel that hangs through my C130 cart strap to dry grips, hands, face.

Club Glove caddy towel (with the hole in middle to hang off club in the bag) for balls, club faces, and around the greens.

I picked up a 10-pack of microfiber towels at some discount store years ago. I think they are 12" x 12" in size.

One day I used a few of them to clean my clubs after a round and realized what a good job they did - the material does not absorb the dirt, and is partially water resistant.

So now I keep a couple of them in my golf bag. When we are in rain season here in FL and the fairways get muddy, I sometimes have to switch to the 2nd (or 3rd) towel during a round. But typically the towel I start with is good for the entire day.

They wash up easy, don't fade, don't rip. One of the best $10 purchases I've ever made...

Red/Navy Caddy Towel is MIA . . . Looks like a trip to the store to grab a replacement is in the future.

Cheap microfiber towels.

My main one is from Walmart and it's black.

im using a microfiber towel. I have yet to try the tour towels with the red, blue, or black stripes on them.

Towel I got from the Masters.

I have a bunch of those "waffle" towels I've received for free from various courses, ball manufacturers, charity tournaments, etc. Very similar to the generic "towel" in the photo above.

I use an Amino Vital towel for the tour sauce value. People think I play on the tour.

8 stripe caddy towel. Wet one end and it lasts entire round in the N.C. heat.

Those caddy towels are thick. Tough to wrap around the clubs if you are using a stand bag. Plus, the size is huge. Overtakes the entire bag.
