Re-shafting first set of irons at home. Need a little help

I finally have most of my new workshop put together and I'm ready to give it a go re-shafting a set of Mizuno MP69 irons. I'm going to pull the stock DG and install Modus3 120's.

Is there anything in particular that I should know to give myself a chance at getting these right? What type/size ferrule would be the best for these?

I know these are rookie questions, but I'd definitely appreciate any words of wisdom.

Match the ferrule with the shaft size, so .355 or .370. Then look at the head specs and see if you need a collared ferrule or not. That will dictate your options.

I'll make it easy for you- this is the ferrule you need, accept no substitute. Soak in a little hot water, they'll slide right on.

Good deal. I've used them on MP62's and MP18's on the recommendation of others here who've used them on other MP irons. required little to no modification.

I can not comment on the Cell Parts ferrules as I have not used them but the Grail Golf #091256 .355/.87"/.520od ferrules work great on the Mizuno Irons I have built and you can get them on the bay for $5.17 shipped for a 12 pack.
I have used these on MP5s, MP53s, and MP4s and they just require a little wipe with Acetone to get them perfect. Definitely no need to turn down using a felt ferrule turning belt. Some may choose to leave them as is because they are already really close to the hosel outer diameter.
The 0.87" length has them really close to the stock ones that were on the irons.

All the Mizuno's I've ever seen have tip weights, so you will need to pay attention to SW in the rebuild.

My advice is also to pay attention to swingweight...build a SW scale or buy one, i was surprised how much adjustment I needed to get things right (I didnt want to use lead tape so tip weights were my preference). Second piece of advice is to have a bench vise, this is super helpful in pulling heads, installing grips, etc. Last piece of advice is to use air for grips....I'll never go back to solvent, it is easy, quick and reversible to use air. I have been doing it with a bike pump just fine.

I've got a vise, as well as a shaft puller. Don't have any tip weights, so I'll need to order some. I like to play my irons at a pretty high SW, so this is a great tip. Thanks!

This is absolutely a fact, Mizuno irons consistently have tip weights. Swingweight scale is important piece of the build, as you want consistency throughout the set.

Also regarding swingweight, there were tip weights used in all my Mizuno builds.

I have tried to figure out required tip weights based of head weight and other components but that usually doesn't come out exact.

I find that measuring SW on a scale with all components gets me the closest to actual final build SW.

I can give you more detail about my process for weighing pre assembly if you are interested. It's a lot of work up front but the finished results are very close to pre assembly measurements.

I am using the Golfworks Premium scale with the grip holder so that allows me to get everything except epoxy on the scale before assembly.
