Replacing my Tommy Armour 845 Vault Irons?

I am starting to look at replacing my Tommy Armour 845 Vault Irons which I purchased back in 2006....I shoot about 90-95 for 18 holes so it is time I think to move onto something more modern.

Any suggestions?

I think I have a slower swing but I do hit my seven iron (I know those clubs are from like 2004) 160 yards. I just been looking for a good used deal as I bought a driver off of Callaway Preowned a few months ago.

I do shoot about a 90-95 on a good day but need to more consistent and play more as I am losing strokes on not being consistent on my distances.

Ping g400 or G410 irons, ping glide 2.0 or 3.0 wedges, TM m5 or callaway epic flash 3 wood or consider a 4 wood.

based on the used driver purchase, I’m assuming you have a budget... what are you looking to spend? Are you average height? Have you ever checked to make sure you need standard length and lie? Regular grips?

the new players distance stuff is neat. It adds distance while keeping forgiveness but can create some problems with consistency.

regular game improvement clubs haven’t changed a ton. Old pings will easily get the job done. They also have a nice color coded system for different lengths. Find a model you like and hunt them down. Cast clubs don’t really wear out.

id focus on loft and lie and a club you like the look of...if you can hit them before buying, that’s obviously a plus. Happy to help on any questions.

older woods should be pretty easy... I’d say check out cobra to save some money.

You can do a static fitting on the Ping website to get a general idea of LLL. Then browse the 'bay or for sale here. Should be fun.

Yea I am short only 5'6! I picked up a membership for the next three years at the local course for a pretty good deal so I probably should upgrade my set from the early 2000's I guess. I bought my dad a set from Callaway Pre-owned and they were in great condition and my driver too. So I am just reaching out to get some ideas. I tend to be able to hit longer irons pretty well and straight but actually struggle with woods. (Yes, I am one of the weird ones!

callsway preowned is great... they sell tons of iron sets.

just find something you like at a good price and buy them. Any modern cavity back will be fine.
