Golf Brush - For cleaning grooves

I've used Frogger for a couple of years now, but they never last. The brush is excellent and I always keep them for home, but the clip with the retractable cable always breaks. Anyone use any alternatives to frogger. I like how the Frogger brush doesn't have the metal wire bristles that mess up your bag.

Funny you mention these. I have 3 packages of them, but always forget to use them because of how light they are! Good call

I could not recommend the grooveit brush more. Seems kind of like a gimmick but it is amazing

I made this many yrs. ago. It's still going strong.

Wet towel.

Played TPC Potomac and after round felt compelled to brush my teeth. Tour issue course provided toothbrush. Grooves are plaque free.

I use a tee.

I have the Frogger brush with the magnetic attachment. I previously had the one you mentioned with the retractable cable, and like yours it didn't last. But the magnetic one is solid.

The el cheapo one I got at Dick's a decade ago is going strong and has never "messed up my bag".

Wally World, a 3M or other small kitchen brush, about $3....I have a couple, one for each bag, with "U" shaped handle, slides and stays on putter well, been there for 4 years now.

I ended up buying a Magentic keychain off of Amazon for $10. Since I still have the brush that works fine I think this will be a great option. I guess it's technically used for fishing, but sounds like it will be a great use on my golf bag.

Picked up the Groove It. Was hesitant to buy a brush that was more expensive than the others but it’s the best by far—quality and the magnet is so strong it’s easy to pop right back on after u detach to clean

I use an old tooth brush in my sink after each round. Been doing it this way for over 20 years. I use a wet tip of a towel during the round.

Same here. Although I only clean in the sink after 3+ rounds. A quick wipe with a wet microfiber towel after hitting cleans almost anything from grooves.

Wet bar towel during round and toothbrush post round (don’t like idea of using wire brush)

I bought this on your recommendation and love it , just sprits out enough water to loosen up the dirt and then scrub

well worth the twenty bucks , I also like the magnetic disconnect it's very strong the brush will never disconnect unless you pull it , really like this brush .

I bought a GrooveIt after reading this thread. Barrel cracked at threads in less than 2 weeks so badly that it’s unusable.

I emailed them & they are sending a new one no questions asked, so their customer service seems great. They are convinced this happened because I overtightened it. I’d love that to be true, but I don’t think it is.

Same thing happened to me and they replaced it and stated to make sure not to over tighten using the o ring.

How does the o-ring go? If I put it on the threads, it just seems to pinch off. Thanks!

I use a tile grout brush from Home Depot. Cut off the handle and drilled a hole in it. The brush is attached to my bag's towel loop with a Keyback retractor. Keyback is far higher quality than any prepackaged brush/retractor I've seen, and the grout brush is also far more stiff and durable than anything I've seen that's made for golf. Yes, I'm a dork.

Toothbrush from the dollar store works well. Cheap too!

I use a 99-cent brass bristle brush from Harbor Freight.

I use the tooth brushes I get from the dentist because I used a mechanical brush. They are perfect!

I haven't over tightened it yet however, that oring seems pretty useless. It's the same size as the outside of the barrel? Lol

Both mine and my brothers have cracked in the same place and all we've ever done is remove the cap to add water.

We absolutely love the concept but neither of ours are functional any longer.

I emailed the company and guess we'll see what they have to say.

Anybody aware of any updates on this?

Been way beyond a couple of months to re-tool and it doesn't look like anything has been updated or changed on the website?

Another good idea goes the way of the buffalo?
