Gonna give the ST190 Driver a shot...long time 913D2 user

I've played my 913D2 9.5 with a Speeder Evo II 757 shift shaft for about 6 years. I like the driver and has been a fairway finder for me. This is more of an impulse by as opposed to getting fit.

I'm a Mizuno fan and currently play MP-18 combo irons, played MP33's back in the day...just like their stuff. I have a Kuro Kage 70 in my TE CBX 3-wood and a KK in my hybrid as well and like how it feels.

I picked up a ST190 9.5 with a Kuro Kage 60 stiff shaft. I remember hitting it in a bay when I got fitted for my MP-18's and really liked the way it felt/looked and numbers were good.

Reviews seem to be good. This seems like the first real Mizuno driver that can compete with the TM, Callaway, etc.

BTW, I'm about a 6 handicap.

Anyone do anything similar? Thoughts?

The ST190 is a fantastic driver, and a lot about it will feel familiar coming from Titleist. It has a similar level of forgiveness as the 915/917 series but with lower CG, so it will be lower spin. It also has a familiar feel/sound as well that felt very comfortable to me as a long time Titleist user. I highly recommend picking up some Jetspeed or 2017 M2 Taylormade weights if you want to experiment as the back weight is compatible with either (just have to remove the ring for the M2 weight).

Make a mental note that you're going down in weight and up in torque. The club could have a completely different feel than your 913.

I went down in weight from an 80G shaft in my 3 wood to a 70G in my TE and reallly like it. I'm going to hang on to my 913 just in case...

Thanks for the insight Valteil. I have always said, I feel exactly where I hit each drive on my 913 which is part of the reason I like it. I'm expecting about the same with my ST190. I did NOT get the G model.

I'm using the ST190 that I bought on close out this past winter and am hitting a little bit longer this year. I really like it.

Still gaming my ST190. Its just too good to give up...good luck and Hammer's link above is great for tweaking. I added a 10grm TM weight for SW D3 at 44.75" which is just perfect for me.

Absolutely love my ST190.

I was a long time 910 fan and didn't think I'd find anything better..until I tried the ST190.

It looks great to me at address, feels as good as the 910, but it's definitely longer and more forgiving.

I played the st190 last year with the speeder 757 evo iii x flex. I love the way Mizuno drivers set up at address too. I didn’t get as much distance out of it as other drivers I tried but it was VERY forgiving.

played 910d2 and 917d2. playing an st190 right now, this club is just as forgiving but longer then the 917. have the same shaft you do and like it.

Thanks for the feedback. My 913 is the second driver ive used with the 757...curious to see if the Kuro works like it has in my other woods.
