What do you do when you are finally content with your bag?!?

After many attempts and changes over the last 2/3 years, I finally have a fully fit bag that I really don’t know how I can improve until potentially newer tech comes out. I tried about ever driver under the sun but came back to the newer Titleist with the same Rogue 125 70TX. I love reading GolfWRX and learning about different aspects of equipment but it’s been less fun the last few weeks because I’m 100% content with my bag for the first time ever.

I love trying new stuff, but for the time being my bag works great at my home course. What do you guys do when you finally find the perfect set ups throughout the bag? Do you still buy stuff to tinker and test against or do you stick to your bag?

Its a great feeling to be fully happy with my new bag, but a little let down searching through the classifieds or the bay there’s nothing that catches my eyes anymore.

Find backups in case of damage!

That’s a great idea. I feel like I should keep an eye out for any good deals on a spare driver shaft just to have.

Get some long cardboard mailing boxes.Sell off your earlier experiments through our Classified section.Build up a PayPal $$ reserve for when you are no longer content with your bag.

Buy new irons. And then a new driver. 2 putters and a set of wedges. Help the economy recover...be a good 'Merican.

That is really smart to build it up for just in case. That way no expense next time. Wife might not be too happy with more purchases haha

this is just a theory of course, I’m stuck in between steps one two and three

The first bad round i have I convince myself it's the clubs and I sell them.

I don't think i have ever been content.....So my answer is keep tinkering!!

Build an old school bag of legends. It's a bittersweet moment when you realise your bag is finally set. Aimless skimming through the bay etc for no other reason than habit, nothing grabbing your attention and the watch list empty. It's a lonely place but you will pull through.

Start looking at accessories (ball mark repair tools, custom head covers, custom alignment sticks), apparel and shoes (now you can focus on making sure your belt, hat, and shoes all match), and stock up on bags (so your bag will match your outfit). Oh, you can also stock up on balls...

If you need to ask this question, sell it all and start over. Face it, you are never really satisfied

Start tinkering with your swing?

I have enough on my plate plus trying to get my index lower. I'll leave shopaholic & golf hoing to those hoping to buy a game.

Hopefully you'll start having consistently lower scores since you're not tinkering with everything. Then that one bad round will happen but you have to be really strong and try to hold off on dumping everything and starting over. If you're hanging around here, I don't see a lot of hope for your current bag lasting that long.

spend the time you'd use looking for equipment that isn't better to work on your short game, hit balls, or improve your swing.

Personally I don’t think I could ever get fully content. Right now I’m probably as content with my sticks as I’ve been in my life, but the usual suspects for not having a firm hold in the bag are still enticing me. The 3 wood, DI, and putter are a revolving door. Keep every other club in my bag for probably 2 years. But these all usually last 3-4 months max. For me these are true feel clubs. Numbers don’t really matter it’s more about being able to execute the shots I need to hit when I need to hit them.

Theres always luxury headcovers that you can customize to reflect whatever your interests are. You can easily spend hundreds of dollars just in headcovers if you want to get something from companies like Dormie Workshop or Rose & Fire.

Start an independent golf ball test

Evaluate every possible grind on wedges... twice

Upgrade your laser range finder, as well as a gps device backup, and phone app

Start a backup bag for your current bag

or...

take a lesson

just kidding... buy more crap you don't need.

Focus on my swing, which is what I should have been doing all along.

Going thru this now. Buying headcovers. Bought a longer/heavier putter to reassure myself that I love my gamer.

Buy a boat

Start researching the rumored soon to be released products from the major manufacturers.
