Driver Quad data, need suggestions on lowering launch

So I went through a swing change because I was starting to play the left side of the course way to often. I have moved back to a trusty driver (G410 LST 9*) and tested with the Alta and a VA nemesys both in stiff flex. Below are my numbers, Alta at the top in red, Nemesys at the bottom in yellow. To me the nemesys feels better and produces more consistency and better numbers. My problem is that I still feel the launch is to high. Based on my numbers should I try to move into something with less loft? I have not tried to turn the loft down in the ping yet for fear I will start losing shots way right if the club doesn’t square at impact.

editdriver swing speed is 95-100 and I do definitely have a upward angle of attack, I don’t have club data unfortunately though

I have never seen a shot with 735 rpm's of spin before! That shot is an outlier and probably should have been deleted because it will skew you numbers! Were you hitting range balls?! Either you weren't hitting your gamer golf ball or your strike is all over the face at first which makes it hard to tell where you can possibly improve with the first setup. The numbers are much better in the second set but I don't see how lowering your loft will help because your spin is borderline too low for your swing speed. You actually could afford to increase your loft and hopefully add a little spin and keep the ball in the air a lil longer as your angle of descent is still good and you can still get some roll out. That being said if you are swinging it at 95-100 mph like you say then shot 2 and 5 in the second batch are just about as good as you could possibly do so that set up is definitely capable of maxing you out. Your launch angle isn't too high and is probably helping you because you spin it low. If I were you I would figure out were on the face you hit shots 2 and 5 in the second batch of shots and live there !! Best of luck.

Check your face impact location and consistency (use foot powder spray or impact tape). That will have way more influence on launch and spin then anything else. And high luanch and low spin is commonly an indication of impact high on the face. If that's the case, all you might need to do is something as simple as tee the ball up a little lower.

I was hitting a Bridgestone Tour B RX. The first set of numbers with the Alta I could never get comfortable and did feel I was all over the place. The 2nd set with the Nemesys felt much better to me.

My only thought of lofting down was to go with a more forgiving driver such as a SIM max to both control the initial launch and to also maybe bring spin up to a more reasonable level.

I also have a 10.5* G410 plus that I have played with but my launch angles are 20-21* and the spin is 2600-2800. Looks cool going that high but doesn’t go nearly as far as the LST 9* setup.

Listen to Stuart. You're already using a low launching low spinning head, and spinning it way too low for your ball speed. First, find out where you are striking the ball on the club face, then come back to us. If you're middling all these shots, that is a totally different story than if you're hitting the ball up higher on the face. Your solution could literally cost you $0 by teeing the ball a bit lower and leveling out your AoA.

I actually didn’t see this post. This makes a lot of sense as I am more comfortable teeing the ball up high so I am sure the majority of my strikes are high on the face. I’ll confirm the next time I’m at the range and work on getting more comfortable with a lower tee height.

Just keep in mind, don’t chase spin with GC monitors. Based on their algorithms, it’s gonna make it look like you are improving distances...which won’t be reality. For a 240 carry, you need to be in the high 140s in ball speed realistically, but GC monitors will start showing those numbers a lot earlier when the spin gets low.

I did not know that about the GC’s. Is trackman more accurate in this instance?

Those numbers is good, and launch is not too high for those spin values, and if you want it lower, just do as Stuart suggest, lower the tee.

that will both lower impact on the face to a area with lower dynamic Loft, and by that, a lower launch, while spin levels goes up. If you follow this link to my DIY driver tune up, you will find a illustration of how impact height on the face is related to launch and spin levels.

Its the #2 illustration in the link, so it should be easy to find.https://forums.golfwrx.com/discussion/909991/diy-driver-tune-up-diy-fitting/p1

The average is moving impact 1/8" up or down, changes spin with 240 Rpms and changes launch angle by 0.35*,

Example, moving impact 3/8" or about 10 mm, is about 720 Rpms and 1.0* on launch

Moving impact Down, reduces launch and adds spin

Moving impact Up, adds launch and cut off spin

That and FS have both shown to give more realistic numbers with lower spin, yes.

That’s not to say you can’t use the monitors to get data, you just have to be aware that what you see in terms of carry/total distance may not always be what you get in the real world. To my knowledge, there’s not much of an issue with measuring the data as there is with calculating the result. As Howard stated above, you don’t wanna lower the launch with that spin, you need to offfset one with the other given the ball speed you have. The good thing is you are in a good place more than likely as you have the ability to do either just by varying the tee height most likely...so you have options which is always a good thing.
