I'm building a Nike bag up, did not have experience with any of their drivers, been through the Tube and have seen some bad reviews so did they make a good one? Thanks.

The STR8-Fit Tour was one of the best drivers I’ve played. Still have it the garage and take it to the range would possibly still be in the bag if it hadn’t developed a ‘click’ in the head which I cannot fix. Long, straight(ish) and nice sound.

I may be in the super minority here but I was huge fan of the OG SQ....followed by the Sumo2 S5900 and then the Dymo str8 fit squared. Loved all 3....the sound of that s5900 when hit one the screws is one of my favorite driver sounds of all time.

I played the Vapor Fly Pro, and still do on occasion for nostalgia sake. Sound and feel are great, but it demands a good strike.

I enjoyed the SQ Tour back in the day, the one Tiger used forever. Do I miss it? Not at all, but it was a pretty good club for it’s time.

Hard to find the Flex 440 in nice shape. I had the first generation in volt color and changeable cartridge for spin and it was real strong. My playing partner is still gaming his Vapor Speed driver, the more forgiving option that same year.

Generally the VR line of stuff is going to get the most love. Some folks might be comfortable with the Vapor line, but it made sense why no one kept them on tour in the driver slot. High CG and Low MOI is not a good recipe.

I had a few Nike drivers over the years, my favourite was probably the Covert Tour. Hit my longest drive ever with it (349 yards according to 18 Birdies), remarkably forgiving for a 440cc head and I loved the red finish. I still have one in my backup set paired with the standard Kuro Kage shaft in X Flex. Liked it so much I bought a backup head as well - that's now a paperweight on my desk at work.

Now using a 917 D3, which I bought due to how similar it was to the Covert.

I've been fortunate to have every generation of Nike Drivers, from the Blue Driver of Death, their first one, to the Vapor Fly Pro driver, which I really liked. I'll never forget how loud the Sumo and Sasquatch drivers were, you could hear them all over the course. My favorite has to be the Nike SQ MachSpeed Black Driver that has an Aldila RIP shaft. I never could hit it well (user error) but it was dead **** and was still obnoxiously loud. Not related to this thread, my favorite 3w ever was the Nike Ignite T60 with the pink Aldila NV65 shaft. I liked the compact look on the head and I was able to hit it off the deck better than any other 3W I've had, save for the PXG 0341X 3w I'm gaming now.

I was exclusively Nike woods until they shut down and loved most of them, but the Ignite 460 and Covert Tour 2.0 were my favorite. Both were 460's that didn't feel huge and the faces were so hot

Covert Tour 2.0 is the only answer, i've owned them all. That was a great low spin, forgiving driver.
