Money is no ojbect to their members. They'll own the city of Augusta before long.

Doubt it's for course expansion. I'll say parking.

Or just go ahead and build a Masters theme park. Hotel and restaurants? Putt putt golf with AN holes. ?

Buy up all of Washington Rd from I-20 to AGNC so that you'll never see another chain restaurant on future visits eventually.

Was it kind of a tacky shopping center? Electrolux service doesn't shout upscale.

I have never been there, but from all reports Augusta National was right in the middle of a ghetto of some sort. So maybe they knock stuff down and plants trees? Who knows.

The shopping center/strip mall across the street is mostly empty and in bad shape last time I was there. Will probably end up as parking and merchandise area.

They are putting up a Mt. Rushmore of sorts for the Masters.

Their going to put in a helipad for the members that maybe play once a year. They can come in, look around, be seen.....and fly away.

They're going to have a lottery and if you win, you can pay $150 for your own parking spot. For one day during the tournament. Or $125 during a practice round.

Around the area of 1, 9, 17, 18? Not a second too early. That part of the course needs a major overhaul. Would have been perfect for Pete Dye.

It's actually close to "adjacent" to the driving range at Augusta National, but across Washington Road. So not something that is part of the course.

There was a Whole Foods down the street that closed. Honestly there were about 5 grocery stores in that little stretch of Rd and I always wondered once the Masters left town how the heck did all those stores stay profitable?

So, Augusta, the city, is named after the woman who gave birth to the king upon whom we declared Independence.

One could always hope for a miracle. The necessary rebuild could arguably be done on existing property but I doubt that it is ”politically” possible. All the times I have looked at google maps Augusta and dreamt of making the party not being over after 16. And 14 rebuilt too. There is no reason why not all last 9 holes should be a part of the *rgasm. Every shot. 17 a short, heavy risk/reward par 4. And 18 an approach of grandeur, preferrably a par 5 with many options.

My prediction: a Masters/Bobby Jones museum.
