I ordered the Path-Pro training aid (www.pathprogolf.com) , and am looking forward to putting it to good use. I noticed that the website has a link to this site. Is the owner/inventor a member of this site?

Has anyone else taken a look at this? I used another similar product called "Your Pro Swing Trainer," which is effective, but cumbersome compared to Path-Pro.

Yes, I have the training aid. it is the best golf training aid there is. It is worth the weight. I have three basic problems with my swing...my backswing and downswing path and early extension. The path pro helps me solve all three problems and in the most efficent way there is. There simply isnt a more versitle product out there. It will work on any golf related problem. It is multi dimensional, whereas most of the other training aids are single dimensional.

bp,

I've been working with the Path Pro for three weeks. I agree with Golfchicago...it is definitely the most versatile teaching tool that I've used.

I have two recurrent swing flaws--getting too steep on the downswing and sliding ahead of the ball with my body. The Path Pro has one specific position for each of those swing flaws.

Both of those issues have been helped greatly by using the PP. The nice thing is that if something else gets out of whack in my swing, I can change the set-up of the PP to accommodate another problem.

In the past, I have always felt a little self-conscious about using a teaching device where others are practicing. I haven't thought about it with the PP. In fact, the PGA teaching professional where I practice has borrowed mine and is now using it with his students. I just reclaim it when I go to practice.

I think you will be pleased with the results.

Brian,

When you called today, you spoke with me. FYI, we are currently finishing up the writing of our upcoming infomercial scheduled for a September airing and featuring Peter Kostis, Gary McCord, perhaps David Feherty and from the Big Break 3, Valeria Ochoa, as well as several fellow GolfWrx.com members. I am also working with the PGA Tour to get them placed at every tour event for the '06 season and when that week's event is over, they will be given to the local 1st Tee Program's chapter.

I'm will be working with champx2 and easyyy on a sponsorship deal for GolfWrx.com as their logo will be featured on all our clothing in the upcoming show. If that happens, we will offer a truly unique special to all GolfWrx.com members and retro it back to your purchase. I think you will find that this tool is currently being kept very low key but will burst onto the scence in a short period of time. You will not be disappointed with the results as it's impact to teaching has been compared to the introduction of the Big Bertha to metal woods over 10 years ago. Needlessto say, we're excited about the launch.

I will follow up with you in the AM as promised because I'd like to discuss your possible participation in the infomercial as well.

Thanks for the interest,

Jim Cardosi

Z,

I can see where someone could see a resemblence but they are in no way the same things nor do they even promote the same function or produce the same results.

The Inside Approach is low to the ground and promotes an inside to out swing forcing you to concentrate on the path of the clubhead. Given it's 8" height above the ground, the user that really is over the top can't reroute their club quick enough to miss the pad. They end up hanging back on their right side and flipping at it to miss the pad. In fact, they've now created a worse problem than they had before. Also because of it being low to the ground, frustration sets in easier for those who really need the help and they give up. This is especially true after they've hit the pad several times in a row and had to ask everyone around them to stop hitting balls for a second while they retrieve their pad.

On the other hand, the Path Pro is completely adjustable to the skill level of the user and his problem(s). It has an identified 30+ uses as opposed to just one like most aids. More importantly, the Path Pro forces the user to swing his arms and hands along the correct line (much like a pro holding a shaft out over your hands) which results in the club following on the same path. Your impact zone is expanded since the pad is so much longer, because it promotes a squarer clubface for a longer period of time to the target resulting in a more solid shot and at the intended target. Obviously, when you hit it more solid and straighter....you'll hit it further. It's pretty simple, surprisingly fundamental and very complete.

Not to sound like a commercial but the aforementioned is just one use. Ready for the next 29??? Just kidding you...I wouldn't do that.

Jim

One other point here is a lot of local Pga pros are using this device. As a matter of fact, the gym that i work out at, Athletico, golf performance center, uses it as well. As you can see by the illustrations above, you can work on any swing fault, it is a snap to make adjustments and it doesnt cost a fortune.
