Thinking about a 2-Week Mostly Clubcorp Golf Roadtrip

11 courses in 16 days.

Of this list, I've only played Traditions A&M and Hills of Lakeway.

Suggestions welcome for changes in itinerary...

I'd be shocked if you could pull off the exact interiary booking with the clubline. They seem to always have days blocked off or something. Itd be a sweet trip though.

I've given up playing other CC courses, never could get times especially now with all the WFH. Also don't think Craig Ranch is on the reciprocal list. Have played there though and Stonebridge Dye both of which are great.

Really good courses. Not sure that you can play TPC Craig Ranch on the Club Corp deal, if that matters.

With COVID a lot of clubs are restricting to members only, and not allowing ClubCorp "Play Away" rounds. This trip will have to wait for the virus to clear.

And, on top of that, ClubCorp just sent out an email last night detailing changes to the Play Away program.

I didn't get it. What did it say?

Your two complimentary green fees are available per market per month, not per club per month (Network cart fees apply)For example, you can visit Atlanta and play two rounds of golf, and then in that same month, visit Tampa and play two rounds of golf, providing hundreds of dollars of value in every market, every month.Tee time availability will be Sunday noon to Friday noon.Rental clubs are available for $25, replacing the complimentary loaner clubs (normally $50-$75 per set)How have dining benefits changed?

You can still enjoy these benefits as you always have:

And when they say, "we updated the participating club list", they mean there are some courses that you can no longer play. From your list of course you were going to play, Stonebridge Dye Course is no longer available. And, I don't know if this is a change, but it reads like to me that you will pay more than just cart fees at The Traditions. The wife and I were really bummed to see the Mission Hills Dinah Shore course in Palm Springs was no longer on it.

I never got that e-mail. Technically, I don't have "play away." I belong to the Met in Houston, and upgraded to the ONE membership with golf privileges. When I go to the Benefits Finder page, I still see the same benefits I always had. Hopefully grandfathered in...I'll check with Clubline soon.

I don't think this change effected one memberships just play away which was for a while a to good to be true type deal

Stonebridge Dye course will be changing significantly going forward; we are current members and both the Dye and Hills courses have been packed as of late.

On July 2nd members received an email from the GM Bryant Early indicating a curtailment in Dye course memberships...

“I am pleased to announce that we are taking action to reduce the number of Dye Course Memberships and have created a waitlist.  

In the coming weeks, I will outline the Club's repositioning strategy focused on delivering an elevated experience on the dye course with an emphasis on improved tee time access, enhanced course conditions, and service improvements.”

I would expect Play away or ONE members will be able to play in the afternoons at the Hills course, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the Dye course layout and conditioning.

If club Corp has a waitlist you can expect the dues to go up quickly.

Any update RDH? I have played the Dye course once, and it is a great course and hard as hell.
