I have settled on keeping four bags in a seasonal rotation, but with the idea that if something is working well I’m not going to change for no reason. Starting with the putters, of course. I’ve gone entirely to center shaft putters these last couple years, each plays 34-35” length. I putt left hand low with a slight arc, so I’m most consistent with face balanced to slight toe hang.

Two recent acquisitions round out my Summer 2020 putters. The Betti has seen the course most often so far, with the Yes! and Byron coming in off the bench for 9-hole rounds.

Have you ever thought about trying a centershaft putter?

? Do they still make those?

The 2 shafts that work best for me are the Mitsubishi diamana blue 60g and the tensi blue 60g both s flex. My driver ss ave is 97 and I'm not a high launch high spin player. I've had these shafts in Ping, Titleist and Cobra heads and they all work well for me.

Thanks CDL, surprisingly those aren’t shafts I’ve demoed in Ping. The CB Alta 55 was a good fit (at first), mixed results so far with the Chrome.

Bag #1 Callaway woods / X-Forged & Apex MB irons / Mizuno S18 wedges / Byron Morgan Channel Island

Here in August 2021, I am right now quite happy with my regular setup. After rotating through 4 complete sets and 8-10 putters in 2020, this is a bag I could stick with for a very long time. Or at least til next month.
 

Callaway Mavrik Max 1W 10.5° HZRDUS Smoke 60: Driver only gets pulled about 3-6x per round, as necessary. Put the heavy weight in the heel and set the hosel at the -1°/D setting.

Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero 3W 15° HZRDUS Smoke 70: 3 wood is my primary tee club, in play about 6-9x per round and the EFSZ is very often as long as my average driver shot.

Ping G400 3Hy 19° & 4Hy 22° NV 2KXV Green 85H: Something about the G400 hybrid head in this NV green shaft just works. The 19° 3Hy recently took over for my Cobra 4-5W and is a much better safe option off the tee.  The 22° 4Hy never, ever leaves the bag.

Srixon ZU85 4U 23° Steelfiber i95: Reshafting with the i95 was a complete shot in the dark, but wow, it’s really come alive. At only 1° loft difference from my 4Hy, it’s a perfect 10-12y gap off the deck. Great tee club too.

Srixon Z585 6i-7i Modus 105; Z785 8i-AW Modus 120: I acquired each iron in this set as singles and kept the stock shaft in each, so something of an AMT setup. The mid irons are powerful enough to keep up with the 4U. But there’s also finesse throughout the set. I especially enjoy the 51° AW.

Cleveland RTX Zipcore 56.10 60.10 DG Spinner: I tested the 56° Zipcore for WRX last summer, added the 60° to match. Solid all-around wedges that completely transformed my bunker play. I use the 56° for almost every shot around the green and consider short game a strength.

SeeMore Mini Giant Deep Flange 34.5”: I putt left hand low, slight arc, and only play center shaft putters anymore. This Mini Giant lays a bit flat, has a Tour SNSR red grip, and really shines from 3-8 feet.

Solid set up.  I also tested the Cleveland RTX Zipcore wedges last year and still have mine in the bag.  It has become one of my favorite clubs.  I will not give it all the credit, but it has played a big part in the improvement I have seen in my short game as well.

The Z 785’s and Zipcore wedges are so smooth aren’t they? I’ve got a similar iron and wedge setup and am absolutely loving them…the control and feel is unreal!!

As much as I have loved playing my 2021 spring-summer bag, the winds of change are blowing here in Central Illinois.  Time to introduce bag #2 for the Fall season, plan to run from Labor Day to Thanksgiving with this setup.

The last couple of weeks, I've been playing the same S18 wedges in 52/9 and 56/10.  I've had the 52 for 2 years and loved it.  Stumbled across the 56 in January.  Something about the S18 grind just matches my swing.  That 2 wedge setup has kicked a full 50,54,58 set of Hogans out of the bag and is producing better results.  I tend to play best when I "feel" shots instead of trying to hit stock yardages.

Nice looking "lite" bag.

Thanks, totally agree.  As you can see, I’m a bit of a wedge ho, lol.  But the S18s have stayed in the rotation over the years.  Not sure what the equivalent grind is in the T22s; but yeah, it just works.  And 56 is my feel club, 51 (and 60) more for hitting specific yardages.

Happy 4th, Canada Day, etc. all the summer holidays, means you need a travel set.  Here’s my bag for a trip this week to northern Indiana.  Certainly not a max distance setup, tighter gaps on the irons, G400 woods fit like comfortable, old jeans.  The Srixon 5U is the star of the set.

I dont have a witbs but i have pics of some of my stuff i play. I had mb/xforged combo 18 set.... amazing. Lowest round ever with those. Of course i swapped out to the rogue st pros and i have to say im a bit more consistent with them so im very happy. 8 birdie trys last round and i converted 3. Dont anyone think im bragging because i trippled twice doubled a few times and ended up shooting 85 lol i really feel my driving let me down the last few rounds. This tripple diamond ls rogue st is not for me. Doesnt retain my distance on miss hits too well which is to be expected but its overwhelming for myself. Great sound and feel and here and there produced some big shots. Its a shame 😔.. 

That Big Bertha Fusion with the heavy weight is a modern classic. Looks weird but man does that thing go straight.
