New shaft in Ping g15 Fw

I’m playing a g15 3-wood and love the club. However, the shaft (stiff TFC 149F stock shaft) feels “whippy” and I hit the club with too much spin. Since I really like the club head I thought I might replace the shaft but I have no idea of what shafts I should consider. My avg. score is 74 and I hit the 3-wood on average around 240yds, driver 260-270yds and 7 iron 165.

I’m looking for a shaft that gives me less spin than the stock shaft and I generally don’t like shafts that are “too heavy”.

So, do you have any suggestions?

I just put an Aldila NV 85 regular flex in my G15 4 wood. Feels great, flys high, and goes straight.

And it’s cheap.

Instead of spending north of $100 for a shaft that might not work with that head, maybe look at the Ping G410 LST 3W? Might perform better and can be had at a half decent price right now. Lots of options in the fit cart to try for desired ball flight.

What is it that might not work with putting a new shaft in?

Send it back to Ping and have them install the Tour 75 stiff. or if you want a little higher traj, do the Tour 65 stiff. They are both much stiffer than the TFC. Or you may be able to find a used one for less $$

i had Ping I25 3 wood with Tour 65.Stout shaft and as above 65/75 will solve problem or the Trusty Green NV.

A shaft for one head, might not work with another. A new fitted G410 that is adjustable is $220. A new shaft installed and new grip close to $100. So for $120(and whatever yours is worth for a trade) you would have a new up to date adjustable, maybe better performing, hybrid.
