what do you eat and drink during a round to keep your energy, stamina, focus going strong?

p.s. not looking for inputs on beer, cocktails, etc.

Nothing.

Seriously, I don't eat or drink anything. I find it a distraction and a sign a weakness.

Bananas. Trek protein bars. Water or flavoured water. I avoid anything sugary and no alcohol.

Water, Cold pressed watermelon juice, Coconut water - peanuts are a go to but honestly I’m getting a hot dog at every turn.

Water. Plenty of it. Might bring some peanut butter crackers, or trail mix. Mostly just water.

I usually bring 2 bottles of water with me and occasional hotdog at the course

I usually bring 2 of the following 3 items:

Smoothie (protein powder + almond milk + frozen banana + frozen spinach)EPIC sriracha chicken protein bar (chopped) Trail mix Plus 16 oz of ice water, and 16 oz cold-brewed green tea

Water, and perfect bars - protein bars made of nut butter. Sold at Costco. The best!

A banana has about 14g of sugar. That's a lot of sugar. By comparison, a Krispy Kreme glazed donut has 10g.

So staying properly hydrated and nourished is a distraction and a sign of weakness? If you were trying to be sarcastic you failed.

Water and peanut butter crackers if playing early. Water and PB sandwich if playing later.

Powerade or Gatorade in a 40oz thermos and Costco protein bars.

i think what you consume before the round is equally or more important than what you have in your bag. Eat a good breakfast or lunch and load up on (non-alcoholic) liquids.

If I was being sarcastic I would have said I have orange slices and a juice box.

I eat and drink before a round of golf. If people can’t go four hours without food and water they are weak.

I normally bring my own flavored BCAA mix, fruit and maybe a power bar/protein bar...sometimes I don't get to the power bar, but definitely eat the fruit and sip on the BCAA drink throughout the round. Some of the best food I've had was at the Magnolia Course at Disney, bit expensive but very good and portions were great.

^ Same as poster above, I bring my water jug with ice and a scoop of bcaa powder in water. Then usually a couple granola bars, sometimes pb/banana sandwich, little container of almonds maybe. The water is the crucial one for me, couple bites here and there are nice but I can get on without food providing I have lots of water.

Water. Nothing else.

I have notice playing with other people early in the morning in hot area that by 15, 16, 17, 18 that people are running out of gas.

I hope Bryson starts marketing protein shakes.

Whatever the hot beer/food cart girl convinces me to buy.

Per 18 holes, I have (2) bananas, one or two small bags (3 -4 oz, I think) trail mix.

(2) bottles water, one or two bottles of Gatorade.

Started this "Menu" this year, and I feel stronger at the end of the round compared to years past.

I honestly like a hot dog that has been on the heated rollers.

I'm an adult. I don't get jealous of other adults' things but I was jealous once at Christmas. Buddy of mine got a counter top hot dog roller/cooker as a gift. I'd love to have one. Not sure he really appreciated it like I would have.

I walk nearly all of my rounds. I find that if I don't eat/drink enough during the round my performance drops off noticeably coming down the stretch. I prefer to eat about a granola or half a protein bar every 4-5 holes and drink at least a full bottle of water over the same time. The effects of dehydration and hunger can start before you feel hungry or thirsty. Lexi Thompson recently said Tiger told her to eat every few holes to keep energy up and if it works for them it can't be bad for me.

Really none of y’all drink beer or any alcohol when you play? I’m no alcoholic but I don’t know if I’ve played a round without a few drinks in 15 years.... now for food I try to eat before the round but if I have to have something during I just try and avoid that hotdog at the turn. That always leads to regrets.

Water or gatorade and some peanut butter/granola snacks are the best. Underrated are those squeezable apple sauce packets.

A cool turkey and bacon club wrap. It’s so good on a hot summer day.

Yes. I served on active duty in the U.S. Marines for eight years. Skipping food and drink for four hours while hitting a ball with a stick is pretty simple.

... I almost always walk so I want water, water and more water. Last thing I want is anything in my water. I will eat a Pro Bar or some grass fed jerkey and was doing some FBomb Nut Butter until I ran out.
