I have recently started walking the course more often and I have always been a spiked shoe golfer but my feet cant handle walking 18 in them. I was looking for a more comfortable walking shoe and I recently bought a pair of Roshe G's which are super comfortable but the turf grip is awful. My feet slip all over the place. Does anyone have a suggestion for a spikeless shoe that doesn't sacrifice so much grip? I also live in Houston so something with breathable mesh would be ideal.

I bought a pair of Footjoy Flex they are very comfortable and I’ve had no problem with slipping. I don’t wear them when it’s really wet so I can’t tell you how they then. I also have have a pair of Sketchers Fairways that I use mowing the lawn ( my side yard has a lot of slope ) they are also comfortable and grip well.

Pro S/L have about the best grip I’ve ever used, spiked or spike less. The small nubs do a wear down quicker than I like though.

I did pick up some CodeChaos Adidas this summer, super comfy (all their Boost shoes are) but the worst heel traction I've ever used. Slipped quite a bit. They are now just range shoes. Honestly they don't breath that well (the fabric is plastic coated) and the toebox is stiff (again due to the coating). Sticking with premium leather shoes from now on. If the heel had the forefoot traction they would be much better.

Pro S/L is your winner all day long.

I walk 95% of my rounds and always look for the perfect combo of comfort and traction. I have enjoyed the Pro S/L in the past, they are really great shoes with phenomenal traction when they are taken care of and the spikes/nubs are fresh. I took a flier this year and bought my first pair of adidas in the codechaos and they are absolutely the best shoes ive ever walked in. Waterproof, awesome traction, and im now a believer in the boost technology. Way different styles between the two but you wont be disappointed in either.

Pro SL. I play early, and have been using ECCO shoes with GoreTex, and they have kept my feet dry, but they water stain badly. Also, my left foot slipped during my downswing a couple weeks ago, and now I can't play because of a back injury. I have some Pro SLs, and they will be my go to shoe going forward.

Picked up a pair of Skechers Go Golf Elite 3 (previous model) at the beginning of the year. Guessing I have 20 rounds in them so far. Very comfortable, plenty of room in the toe and good grip.

We are now in rain season here in FL, so have a few rounds with wet conditions, and have had no issues so far.

There have been a few times where my right heel has spun during the downswing on tee shots, but I was trying to put something extra on the ball.

I recently got some of the 2020 version Footjoy Pro S/L, and they are spikeless and very comfortable. But, they are not mesh and the breathability on them is still TBD on my end. I played a short 9 saturday and they were great. Granted it was in the afternoon and I rode in a cart.

For those that have had the Pro SL in years past - do the nubs wear down quickly? I'm not one that buys new shoes every year so I'm hoping these will last a couple of years before I have to replace them.

Depends on how much you play. Mine wore down more than I’d like in about 20 rounds. They still have grip; I’d maybe estimate 40 rounds until they’re totally toast. I think they wear slightly more durable than Pulsar soft spikes for a comparison.

The codechaos are pretty good. Only wore them twice but 0 complaints so far.

Just saw the spikeless Nike Golf 270's are about to come out. Theres no way they will have any of the grip or support that i am looking for but they look awesome. Im an idiot so I hope I dont cave for them.

Are you certain you don't want spiked shoes? Tons of pros wear them. Then you wouldn't have to worry about traction.

I have always worn spiked but now that Ive started walking my spiked shoes are killing my feet. If you know a spiked shoe thats great for walking I would be open to it but all three pairs of mine start to wear on my feet after 9 holes.

Last year I played FJ flex, no complaints.

grabbed a pair of Ecco’s back in Dec. and so far I find them to be more comfortable than the FJ flex.

For me, both are solid. I wear them all the time, but I also hit balls everyday. The Ecco is definitely a more attractive shoe in my eyes.

I have a pair of spiked Ecco mudders that I wear when it's really wet or in the winter. No complaints about comfort or traction. Ecco and FJ spikeless are both comfortable and have great traction for me.

I have been wearing Ashworth Cardiff spikeless shoes when walking for 5+ years. They have rubber nubs and when they're in good shape they are almost too aggressive. I have to be very conscious of the greens. They are very stabile when swinging a club though.

Another vote for the FJ Pro SL. I absolutely love mine w/ the BOA system.

Nike Zoom infinity tour If you can find them. Absolutely zero slipping and I always play in the morning when the course is still covered in dew. Had worn Pro/SL for the previous two years and the Nike blows them out of the water in every aspect. I know there have been some complaints about stability but I haven’t had any issues.

Take a look at Ecco Cage Spikeless. They are pretty aggressive.

Any of the Adidas spiked offerings with Boost are great for walking. I also like the adidas Traxion CP spikeless for walking.

I have 2 pairs of UA Spieths that are great for walking too, but they aren't waterproof at all.

For me the Ecco Biom 2's have been fantastic.

Some water staining, but I don't mind that.

Very comfortable and a wide toe box.

I have had no issues with traction which I find very impressive.

Like the Ashworth, I had to be a bit careful when they were new.

Take a look at the Dryjoy Tour. Great support and I don't even think about my feet during a round. Very waterproof so you can walk in the mornings with no issues. (I normally wear Footjoy Icon Black's but wear the DJ Tour in wetter conditions as the Icon Black's have leather heels and leather inserts in the soles). The Tours probably give slightly better traction as they have more nubs on the soles. Just make sure you get a proper fitting shoe and you will be fine.

I walk 90% of my rounds, all within the first few tee times of the day, so I'll see a lot of dew and moisture to start the round. I have 3 pairs of adidas tour 360 xt spikeless, and for rainy weather I'll wear spiked nike lunar control vapors or roshe g tours. I've actually worn my 360s in the rain a couple of times when the forecast was wrong, but I didn't notice a drop in traction.

Ecco biom hybrid 3’s have the best spikeless traction I’ve found & very comfortable walking. Spiked eccos have been very good for walking too.
