Lol these comparisons kill me. It's a blade, of course they're going to look similar to other blades! I would love to hit these

Haha right, its got the split satin/chrome of the new titleist mbs, the toey muscle bulge of the mp20s, yadda yadda yadda. Its a modern blade design, that's what they look like.
So Rory is testing them out? You'd have to think if he's using them in a practice round then he's likely to play them this week? I can't imagine him first timing them in an event practice round.
Trottie just posted a Rory WITB on Instagram, Rory has the new MB's in the bag for this week!
Edit: Trottie did the run down but its on the TM Instagram account.
I'm guessing Rory was involved/consulted in the changes in design to get to these so he's probably been testing them for a bit.
Trottie is quite the star these days!
I bet Rory has had these all lockdown hitting them on the range and practicing with them. I bet they already have the new prototype drivers at home

Woah, didn't realize we were getting 3 new iron sets from TM. And beauties at that!
😲 big changes will be coming to my bag whenever these are released....
I'm curious to see what kind of footprint those 770s have and how they look at address. Smaller than the 790s I hope.
Those P-7MCs have more than a little bit of Z745 in them. I still haven't found anything I like better than the 745/945 combo I've been playing for what--by my historical standards at least--is an eternity.
Interesting, TM. Very interesting.
I wasn't sure about the chrome/satin look of the p7MBs, but they really look good in those Rory bag pics. I wonder if the 770's ni 4/5 would combo well with the MBs 6-p.

I'm guessing 770s as the driving iron, then MC/MBs as the 4-W combo?
I'm curious what's actually in Rory's bag tomorrow. He's been playing 760s in the 3/4 slots, and 750s before those. Been a few years since he was full 3-W blades like in that instagram post.
I'm curious to see too. I think he's tested a full bag of blades when the P730s came out, but that's about it. Wonder if there's a bit of tech in these.
Agreed.. you would know.. haha
I think if the TP badge logo were on them they would be SICK.
Agreed. Flip the regular TMag logo for the TP.
Oi, P-7MC! Back up off my Bridgestone J40s! 😂
Just posted this in the Rory WITB thread too....I noticed in Rors new set there’s a lot of subtle changes..... PW is part of the set....no more “wedge” PW like JT and a few others. Only wedge heads were SW and LW.
Also, blades go all the way to 3 iron. No more cavity 760 in the 3/4/5. My speculative hope.... TM made the top of this set super playable for a blade.... that would be a huge game changer if it was done. Most guys who play a mix set start at 7 to blade anyhow. It the 4-6 had some love, who’s to say they can’t be tamed. I’ve talked to some very respected minds in the golf world who predict “a return of the blade of sorts....“
I will say, I now play the P7TW blade that I bought purely bc I love TW. I took them out for FUN and 3/4 into a full season I play BETTER golf with them than my MMC irons. Earmuffs Mizuno. It’s been a fascinating experiment really of blade vs cavity for a 6 handicap. My scores haven’t lied. Exact same specs in both sets.
So, if this new blade has some love at the top of the set, I’d look at them long and hard. And yes, I know there is only so much you can do within a blade, tungsten inserts, offset, etc.
Just my club dork 2 cents.
He moved into the P730 PW at some point last year. Might’ve been around the time of the RBC.
Truth! This was earlier in the year....but you’re right. Did some homework after my post.
Whats the pros and cons on the milled sole?

The P-7MC's look so good. 🤤 Really remind me of these TP Forged's from 2009:
I'm as big a fan of the TP badge as anyone, but it's a relic of a bygone era. It's time to let it go. It had a place 15 years ago when OEMs were selling watered down versions of equipment to the public and the badge signified you were getting something meant for better players. Thankfully, us consumers won and OEMs no longer sell shut face drivers with .350 shafts and a bunch of offset (as an example).
The T bug logo is clean. I love that they've gone to this instead of the full TaylorMade word mark.
My initial impression is that looks like it's going to be really easy to build varied combo sets from this lineup. I love that. That was true with the initial launch of the P-series, as well, but the 750 and 770 were a little too close. There seems to be more differentiation between irons in this lineup this time, like they each have a purpose. Excited for these!
the sole looks thicker....a blade is a blade is a blade though....most every company blade looks the same......and they are all forged from a piece of steel....no real tech......these look awesome though
I have never liked that "speed slot" or whatever they call it on the sole of some of TM's irons. Definitely interested in the P-7MC
