Scotty Phantom X 12.5

Hello all, new here, and wanted to post my first discussion. I have struggled with my putting for years, tried all different types of putters. Was piddling around my local golf shop and asked to try out the Phantom X 12.5. Fell in love with it right away. So now I have played 2 rounds with it and it by far has given me a ton of confidence over putts. I love the look at address and the ball just comes off the face so nice. Great putter if any one is looking at buying one. Would highly recommend.

I agree. I tried it when it first came out snd swore I would have it within months. But I was putting so well with my current Scotty 5.5 I haven't really had the need.

But m sure it will be my next putter whenever that is.

Yeah. I appreciate the response. I have a Scotty Phantom X 5, this 12.5 frames the ball better for me and has given me all sorts of confidence. Definitely staying in the bag. Also like that the top has a blacked out alignment line. Very clean look at address.

How is the feel of this putter? I am really looking at buying the 12.5 or maybe the special select 5.5. Not sure until i try them.

The feel of the Phantom X 12.5 is phenomenal. I would have to say the only other putter I have had that I have had better feel with is an Odyssey Exo 7 putter that I really like. That has a White Hot Insert, while the Phantom is obviously milled. Maybe it has to do with the construction of the putter, but the ball comes off very well, and my distance control with it so far has been excellent.

Great putter. I prefer the 12 to the 12.5 for my stroke, but they are pretty much the same- very forgiving and frame the ball well.

Yeah I agree. Very forgiving.

How does the 12.5 set up? I had the 12 and just seemed hard to line up and set up to for all the lines and color scheme. But I’m definitely liking the murdered out look a lot.

I love the way this putter sets up behind the ball. The all black look leaves little to the imagination. There is a center line which is great for alignment. I think if you try one out you will love it.

Anymore reviews, speed control , durability, I just picked one up but wont get to use it much. Not sure I want to in the fall.
