Best Bag for Clicgear 4.0/3.5

I have the Clicgear 4.0 and older Sun Mountain 4.5. The SM never sits balanced on the push Cart.

Which bag do you use on your push Cart?

If you are looking for a dedicated bag for your pull cart from what I have read, the Ping Pioneer and Traverse would be good ones to consider.

I had a Nike Air Hybrid, which, I thought worked very well on my Clicgear. I am, currently, using a UA 14 way stand bag, which, works fine, too.

Huumm ... I have the SM 4.5 and it just seems awkward. I think it more so because its older and the kick-stand causes a problem.

The shape of the kick-stand and how much it sticks out away from the bag can make it more awkward. The Nike Air Hybrid's kick-stand was flush with the bag, and, the UA kick-stand kind of resembles the UA logo, so, for the UA bag, there is kind of a wide slot to fit around the bottom bracket connector.

I have a SM 4.5 that I use with my Clicker 3.5. I got a Clicgear accessory called the Bag Cozy and it helps. I got it from Amazon or eBay as it was cheaper than the Clicgear site.

This is built into the 4.0. The bottom of my SM 4.5 is the main issue.

i have a SM 3.5 and Ping Pioneer. fwiw i prefer pushing the SM as the pioneer's increased weight is definitely noticeable - and i don't really like how the woods sit up against the handle of the push cart.

Bag Cozy is a must for any stand bag you choose. It keeps the bag snug, stops twisting, and protects the cart arms from scratching. I use a Ping Craz-E-Lite bag. t's my light set walker, but it rides well on the ClicGear on hot summer days when I use an umbrella for shade, carry "all" 8 clubs, and hump 2 extra liters of H20.

So this brings up the question of whether or not you are going to carry at all, or if you just want a stand on a larger bag.

If you want to carry, then get the accessory that Clicgear sells that attaches to the top bracket of the bag for the legs to sit into so that the bag doesn't twist. You might also look for a carry bag that has the mechanism for the legs integrated into the bottom of the bag, instead of a "foot" that extends out from the base, which is what causes the bag to fall to the side. Some people aren't bothered by that; I was, and it sounds like you are, too.

One the other hand, if you aren't going to carry anymore, but still want a stand on a larger bag, consider the Sun Mt. C130S bag, or any number of others that are labeled as "hybrids". The C130S is a REALLY good bag, and meant for exactly the purpose that you're interested in.

Are you saying that the Clicgear Bag Cozy is built into your 4.0? I have a 4.0 and it did not come with the Bag Cozy. The Cozy was a separate purchase in my case.

I have a Ping Hoofer 14 carry bag which has a flat base, therefore, I do not have a problem with the bottom.

If your problem is that the bottom of your SM bag rubs on the wheel, Clicgear sell a Booster Clip that you may want to try. It is a small triangular clip that raises your bag to clear the wheel.

Thanks. I do want to carry from time to time. Also, when traveling I would prefer smaller bag. I believe the clic gear 4.0 which I have incorporated the adapter. I just ordered the Collegiate Bag.

For $12 it's worth trying. And it's probably in stock at a store near you. If you don't like it, return it. Hell, bring your back and cart to the store with you. Try before you buy :)

Off topic, sorry. Do you have the original Craz-e-lite from the early 2000’s or even end of 1990’s? I still have mine, don’t ever use it though.

I don’t think it’s built into the 4.0, because I have it and a stand bag Isn’t too good on it.
