I was recently fitted for "True Temper Rifle Parallel 6.0". Do these exist..

Long story short, I was fitted for a full bag and the shaft they recommended for my irons were "True Temper Rifle Parallel, 6.0"

I have a buddy who can get me some great discounts on clubs (almost 50% of what the fitter quoted me) and i'd like to take advantage of that, but I cannot find these shafts they recommended to me.

After doing some digging, it seems like it might only be available to club fitters from some True Temper performance center.. how convenient.

I know there's a Project X Rifle, but from my fitting the label is completely different and it seems like the profiles are not too similar to the Rifle 6.0 they're recommending, which admittedly I did hit very well.

Are there any shafts that come close to what I'm looking for, that are readily available?

I have a full set of them waiting to be stuffed into whatever irons I choose. Precision is no longer around they were acquired by project x I believe a few years back.

You are correct in that the original Rifle shaft as it exists today is only available new through authorized retailers. The Project X LZ would probably be the closest modern equivalent. The Modus 125 is also somewhat similar, but not as close.

By what criteria were you fit in to this shaft?

Gotcha. That sounds a bit tricky then since you're at the crossroads between equipment fit and swing fix. Adding lots of dynamic loft is often exacerbated by light weight, and unless you are a very capable player with your current "problem", I would hesitate to spend any real money on a club overhaul. If you are a good player though, I would look at bending your lofts strong before messing with a shaft to try to get your flight down as it is cheaper and less invasive.

Do you have any plans to work on your delivery or are you happy with where things are now? If the former, then I would hold off on getting new equipment until you've neutralized that issue, if the latter then I would look at something like the PX LZ in 6.0 and bending your lofts stronger to bring down flight.

Yeah I didn't even realize I was doing it until I got the fitting. My fitter basically set me up with stronger lofted clubs (my choice between i500 and MP20 HMB) and I'm a pretty decent player considering I don't play all too often.. around 10-15 handicap.

I'm still working on better ball striking and swing changes but I think its just my general tendencies.

I've been looking at KBS Tour/C-taper/C-taper lite but I don't know if that's too far off from these shafts he recommended.

I’ve got sets with both ctaper 125’s and precision 6.0’s and their pretty comparable in flex and weight to me.

Please dont make it more confusing than it is...

Royal precision was bought by True Temper more than 10 years ago.

RIFLE is a brand name, Project X is a model series who belongs to the RIFLE brand name

The actual model we see a picture of is RIFLE FCM, and they are still made, and can be found at ALL True Temper Performance Fitting Centers.... True Spec is one of them.

True Temper made a slight change to this shaft model in 2012, but its still in production, and was never off the marked, but you will no longer find RIFLE FCM as a OEM option, its a aftermarked model now.https://www.truetemper.com/fitting/
