Cut Golf Balls

I played them today for the first time and I was very, very impressed. They held the greens very well, pretty straight off the tee, but most importantly they felt good off the putter face.

I bought one dozen blue, one dozen grey. Haven't played them yet as I have a large stock of other balls to get through. I figured that at the price they charge, I can't really go wrong.

I played the Greys. I am going to try the other models too.

Has anyone heard if they fixed the durability issue they had?

Still haven't tried my Cut balls yet, enjoying my Vice Drive balls too much.

I tried the grey last week and on the second tee box I noticed the cover was already starting to scuff. Not too happy about that but overall it was still a decent ball. For the price I'll deal with a little scuffing especially considering how soft the cover felt. I plan to try the blue soon.

Liked the first run. Lost a few yards per club but the cost was right. Heard about cover durability issues and moved on from second gen.

Always thought that was a bad name for a golf ball

I had a guy in our group try them. He was literally changing every 6 holes. It performed well for him, but the price vs durability made him switch to Vice.

Fortunate for me I rarely keep a ball more than 6 holes

Update: tried the blue today. Definitely the cut ball for me for sure! Perfect iron spin and the wedge spin was something serious! My drives even seemed longer today than with the grey. The cover was still not durable at all. I've I wish they held up like pro v1s and Bridgestones. For some reason these balls show wear after just a few holes. If they could just make the cover more durable then I would play these exclusively.

Tried the old version of the Blue and Grey. The Blue spun way too much for me, lost a ton of distance, the Grey was a bit better but the durability was awful on them. Prefer Vice over Cut for the price point, heard the new ones were better, not sure if I'd try them out though.

ive tried both vice and cut, and I feel as if buying vice is a no brainer, seeing as how they are both trying to achieve the exact same thing, and I feel as if the vices are better, I don't see a huge reason to buy cut or snell balls. the vice pro plus is a great ball

Yea I just bought a dozen Cut Blues to try them out and literally the first wedge shot with a brand new ball put some gills on the ball. On another hole, with a different brand new ball, I hit a half wedge from 60 yards out just to see what it would do to the ball, and again, the ball was cut up when I got up to it on the green. That was the last shot I hit with one and have since thrown the entire dozen in the drawer. Who knows if I'll ever play them, because the Bridgestone Tour B X is amazing and is a tank in the durability department.

I held off from commenting because I thought that I was the only one this happened to... the balls feel great, fly high, but man their durability is bad. One ball after a few holes of fairway and green play needed replaced. The cover was killed from hitting wedges into greens. If they fix the durability issue, they would be tremendous balls.
