Older golf shoes in really good condition, what do you do with them?

I was just cleaning out my locker at the club to reduce clutter and found some great shoes that are a couple years old worn less than 10 times. I already have plenty of other pairs, what do you guys do when you still have shoes that are in good shape but you don’t really want to wear anymore? Is there a market for them? Donate them? Throw them out?

just trying to see what some others in the same boat do.

I agree with Roody. Those are the days you can go aggressive because you don't care about standing in a soggy bunker or hopping into the ravine.

Ask around to see if anyone needs a pair and give them away. It is always nice to pay it forward like that.

I have an old pair I keep in my trunk. I have loaned them to friends I am playing with several times when they forgot theirs. Once was on a week long golf trip and my friend left his shoes at home. I saved him from having to buy a pair.

Definitely donate them or give it to your buddies.

It’s about a once per year cycle. When new shoes are purchased the old pair gets worn to the range and short game area.

    Tavel shoes?

I like to pack light when I travel, often this means I bring old clothes and ditch them along the way, when their usefulness runs out. I done this before when I had business travel but was going to play a round of golf on the trip. The golf clothes I needed only made a one way trip.

    Otherwise I donate to goodwill.

I always keep an old pair of golf shoes for lawn work, especially mowing. Good grip, comfortable, and waterproof is a perfect combination for working in the yard.

I generally buy 10-12 pairs at the beginning of every year. Wear them 1 year, then give them to First Tee.

I have a pair of range shoes that would qualify in this category. I'm easy on shoes so keep them around for a while.... 2/3 years.
