***ATTENTION***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***ATTENTION***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***ATTENTION

Last year, in an effort to improve the capability of our forums, we switched to new software. We expected tremendous scalability and rapid customization that would significantly improve each Member's experience across multiple devices and integrate flawlessly with social media platforms.

Unfortunately, after a significant capital expense, we have decided that the length of time and the additional cost to reach our goals make this enterprise untenable.

Thus, we have made the difficult decision to transition the forums to our original software platform. We’re excited that, in the nearly two years since we began the process of our most recent switch, our original platform has been upgraded significantly, and we are confident that the reversion will not only provide the stability that we desperately needed prior to our last move but will also return to the Membership the high level of customization that made our online community so great. We have also added technical resources to the GolfWRX staff that will allow us to build custom modules and modifications that we are confident will take the forums to the next level.

We remain the world's largest online golf community, and we still hold true to our core values and mission statement as written in 2005. Bearing both of those elements in mind, being the best and offering our Members a platform that is world-class are both requirements, not options, and it is that spirit that has motivated this decision.

So, please pardon our mess over the next five days or so while we transition the forums.

A few important notes: Current content will be accessible during that time, but the forums will be READ ONLY, and you will not be able to start new threads or reply to posts. Personal Messaging is enabled but PMs sent/received from the time the board was frozen will not carry over. We know this is inconvenient, and we apologize, and we greatly appreciate GolfWRXers bearing with us through the transition.

We are very excited about starting this next chapter for GolfWRX and getting back to the high-quality Member experience we all expect as soon as possible.

Agreed. Anyone who talks about their "brand" and blames someone else for influencing what their brand is has to be a monumental ****. I'm just happy the rules official called him on his BS. If I was Fowler I wouldn't have waited 13 minutes ot hit my next shot. I would've just left Bryson behind to deal with his phantom fire ants.

I'd love to see the tour tee off Bryson, Jordan Spieth and Kevin Na in front of Brandt Snedecker, Dustin Johnson and Bill Haas. Snedecker, Haas and Johnson would be asking to play through by the 4th hole lol

I like how Koepka admitted on Feherty that he would purposely get put on the clock when paired with slow guys in order to get them moving.

He was fit into the Mavrik regular, and then after custom ordering it from Callaway and having it built exactly to his specs after 3 or 4 fitting sessions, he switched into the Sub Zero for some reason after saying he hated it. I have no idea why he did that. It was the Sub Zero he was hitting duck hooks with on the course. But it is telling that he went back to the Ping and not the regular Mavrik.

How does one youtube video confirm this? He wasn’t even hitting the same driver he was fitted for. It’s not like the Ping driver had him hitting more fairways. If anything, it shows how valuable outdoor fittings are.

It doesn't confirm anything. I was just pointing out that it wasn't the regular Mavrik he was hitting hooks with. As you point out it was the Sub Zero which he wasn't even fit into. I was just pointing out that I thought it was weird he switched into that. Especially after he said he hated anything sub zero

You don't suppose it's possible Matt B. just swings differently on the course than in the studio? His body language in the studio vids is quite different from the occasional outdoor bits.

For sure swings differently but there's no way the results would or should be that far apart. I mean it wasn't even close.

    Unpopular opinion:

Until you have an official handicap, you should only be allowed to play the most forward (adult/red) tees.

Until you drop below a 15, you should never play the "blue" tees.

Until you drop below a 5, you should never play "champs" tees.

Sex/gender has zero to do with tee blocks. Play to your capability.

Scotty Cameron Circle "T" putters are no better than OEM models

Tour Issue Equipment is no better than what you find at the stores

If your read this board, YOU CAN'T tell the difference between top tier golf balls

Your NOT good enough to play Tiger Woods specs equipment

    The earth is NOT flat

White belts actually look good if worn right, HOWEVER white pants should be Tour Issue Only

    Popular opinion

If you are going to play the tips, especially as a 4 some, everyone in the group should consistently hit their ball past the forward tees.

The overwhelming majority of golfers get zero added benefit from range finders over guesstimating yardage from vicinity of 100/150/200 markers.

I’ve always been a Titleist guy, but the belief that one should work back from the green in selecting a ball is just wrong. Most are much more likely to hit a green if they are in the fairway and it’s much easier to spin a surlyn ball from the short grass than a urethane ball from the trees.

Anyone who likes modern golf swings never watched Tom Weiskopf in person.

Cinnamon Crunch Cheerios is the ProV1 of cereal.

9 minute tee time spacing makes the course more money.

I’ll one-up you on that first one: DeChambeau is more interesting even if Tiger is there. The amount of Tiger-time makes me turn off the TV sometimes. Also: don’t like DeChambeau, but at least it’s somewhat interesting

I love TXG, support them and watch their videos. But you should take it with a grain of salt.
