I knew if anyone here had an answer, it would be you. I was thinking it could be one of those grandfathered in global tournament things like finishing second in some Japanese Tour event.

Poor Chan Kim has only played the New Zealand Open so far in 2020. He is from the US, so I hope he's in Memphis.

This is the St. Jude tournament and has been in Memphis since 1958. FedEx took over sponsorship of the WGC-Bridgestone and WGC-NEC tournaments at Firestone, before taking over sponsorship of the St. Jude Classic.

Al Geiberger's great 59 was in the second round of this tournament in 1977. Persimmon woods, blades, over 100F heat, 7,249 yards and 13 under par.

No one on Tour has shot 13 under on a course over 7,000 yards. Two decades later, the two other 13-under 59's (and 12 under 58) were on 6,900 yard courses with metal woods, different balls, etc.

Al is 82, lives in a small apartment and his PGA Tour pension of $128 per month has runout.

what happens if weather forces the tour to make a decision about 54 holes/playing on monday, pushing into the pga's tournament? ... i'm assuming the pga is letting/using the tour's help in testing protocol/etc, but there are some issues here that could make the two organizations butt heads pretty hard ... and this is a pretty big tournament for the tour ... and the pga is at a new course ...

Rory has switched up putters. I’m surprised, I thought he looked a lot more comfortable with the mallet.
