***ATTENTION***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***ATTENTION***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***ATTENTION

Last year, in an effort to improve the capability of our forums, we switched to new software. We expected tremendous scalability and rapid customization that would significantly improve each Member's experience across multiple devices and integrate flawlessly with social media platforms.

Unfortunately, after a significant capital expense, we have decided that the length of time and the additional cost to reach our goals make this enterprise untenable.

Thus, we have made the difficult decision to transition the forums to our original software platform. We’re excited that, in the nearly two years since we began the process of our most recent switch, our original platform has been upgraded significantly, and we are confident that the reversion will not only provide the stability that we desperately needed prior to our last move but will also return to the Membership the high level of customization that made our online community so great. We have also added technical resources to the GolfWRX staff that will allow us to build custom modules and modifications that we are confident will take the forums to the next level.

We remain the world's largest online golf community, and we still hold true to our core values and mission statement as written in 2005. Bearing both of those elements in mind, being the best and offering our Members a platform that is world-class are both requirements, not options, and it is that spirit that has motivated this decision.

So, please pardon our mess over the next five days or so while we transition the forums.

A few important notes: Current content will be accessible during that time, but the forums will be READ ONLY, and you will not be able to start new threads or reply to posts. Personal Messaging is enabled but PMs sent/received from the time the board was frozen will not carry over. We know this is inconvenient, and we apologize, and we greatly appreciate GolfWRXers bearing with us through the transition.

We are very excited about starting this next chapter for GolfWRX and getting back to the high-quality Member experience we all expect as soon as possible.

'Milled Face Technology'? I thought most, if not all wedges had a milled face as standard.

Wait, I have to wait to drink my KSig vodka until AFTER the round?!?

I dont think this wedge set is aimed at people that even know what the loft of their PW is. This is probably aimed at weekend golfers who bought an iron set and want a wedge set. Most weekend golfers have no reason or use for a 60* LW in their bag, but they do it anyway. I would bet that 52/56/60 is what most weekend golfers (that play 3 wedges) are used to playing, so that is what KSig will make. Does it make sense from a gaping perspective? No. Does it make sense from a marketing perspective? Probably.

Their balls and their gloves (especially) are well worth the money. I'm not a plus HDCP, so I can't tell a huge difference from ball to ball, but the 3-piece performs just fine for me and I don't mind losing one.

I'll be giving the wedges a go. I'm in the market for a new 52 and 56 and my wedge play is mediocre, at best. If they've got crap shafts, no deal, but otherwise...

They don't look too bad, but wedges are scoring clubs and they'd have to be a good fit...but probably the same great return policy.

As to golf snobs, I'd love to give a forged Miura wedge marked 'Kirkland' to those folks and listen to them trash it as cheap, tacky, poor design, etc.

This reminds me of the 3 wedge set of Tom Watson wedges from Adams. They were a great buy for someone looking to add some wedges. These will definitely sell out.

Link to manufacturer listed on the USGA conforming club list. They have worked with Cobra in the past.

Wasn't aware of the past workings w/ Cobra. Could you share some of the details of that?

Only know what's on their website. They list Cobra as a client. The show a picture of of AMP Cell irons in their gallery and list the Golf Digest Hot List Gold King Cobra LTD driver under awards. It also appears they have golf club patents for drivers, putters, irons and fairway woods. They also work with a golf company called Indi Golf.

This. A good friend of mine had no idea what to get several years so just grabbed a Watson set. He crafted a pretty deft short game with them until they were unplayable from the wear.

Here’s my guess. They sell a boxed set of 3 for $199.

They actually look nice. I won’t buy them but I’m sure they play fine. And I was totally wrong about the putters not selling. So I won’t make a prediction about these.

And I love it. We are talking about Costco wedges in the “Tour” equipment forum.

These will be hard to get just like the putters, no doubt about it.

SC Design is located in the heart of the Carlsbad business district where almost every golf company has an office. I'm sure they have worked with more than just Cobra. They've probably got a few employees that have worked at the big companies. They probably make an OK to decent wedge.

I don’t understand why Costco is ruffling feathers in the golf industry .

They aren't ruffling any feathers in the golf industry. Some here like to think that though.

True. But you still have to look at it in your bag. Having a wedge like that in the bag makes a great case for iron covers.

I am still pretty new here but it’s tour AND pre release right? So agreed there’s 0 chance of these showing up on tour but they are still a pre release item clearly worth talking about based on number of comments so far

To be fair, I think a few feathers were ruffled with their golf ball from a few years back, but certainly can't see it with the putters or wedges.

I guess Acushnet's threats of legal action doesn't count as "ruffling". I've been buying their gloves and their balls since they came out; that's lost market share no matter how small.

It's interesting when you search the address of that company in Google Maps. It's in the backyard of Callaway Golf.

There is so much barely used high quality stuff at bargain prices I dont see the point other than an impulse purchase for someone who just wants some wedges

i tried the putter and that was also meh and is twice the price of a demo Juno I got from PGA store

Basically golf clubs for people who aren't really interested in golf clubs

The same way I dont care what frying pan I buy as long as it fries eggs as opposed to those who love their cookware

Yes just stating the obvious- not sure why it generates so much buzz

Hot dogs good- pizza is a thick soggy crust mess
