Looking for your opinions and experiences on an easy to hit fairway off the tee. I'm not looking for anything that will i require hitting off the deck. Ideally it would be at least 15*.

I get why TXG is liked around here but for the average golfer, what they claim as a "winner" means absolutely nothing to me.

Its not just the Dirty Dog: the SIM FW line has received a lot of love from folks since its release across the board with TM staffers and mid-cappers alike. I hear the term 'rocket' a lot when folks talk about them.

Ya. I have an M5, M6, sim and sim max. The sim has a very unique feel. I you are/were a baseball player, the sim is the only club I’ve hit that feels like perfectly squaring up a baseball. Not a home run swing where you get a little under it, but a screaming line drive at the pitcher’s head.

Sim Max has been amazing for me off tee and deck.

Titleist 917f2 and 915f 16.5 lofted down to 15.75 are both really solid and long off the tee if you like adjustable hosel fairways, in bonded- I like TEE cbx and cbx 119.

Titleist TS2 is a fantastic 3W..... starting to regret hoing it....might put one back in my bag....

I’m liking the cobra big tour

Rogue FW off the tee works for me.

I still haven't found anything to knock my trusted Mizuno MP 650 3 wood out of the bag although I was very impressed by both the Titleist TS3 and the Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero 3 woods when I hit them a few months ago, I found that both clubs were excellent especially off the tee.

I recently hit the Taylormade SIM 3 wood with 3 different shafts and although the ball speed and distance were exceptional, the dispersion was poor to say the least and I found myself not hitting many more fairways than I normally do with my driver, mind you accuracy with these fairway woods seems to be an issue for some players because both Rory and DJ have really struggled to hit many fairways since they bagged the SIM fairways and recently both have been spraying their shots all over the golf course (mostly left with Rory) and those are two of the greatest golfers on the planet.

CBX119 if you don't mind a smaller, deeper head

I still play a Tour Edge XCG7 Beta whose larger head 175 cc and deep face are fantastic for the tee.

But that's a 2013 model, I think...

TM Sim and Cobra Big Tour. Don't overlook less loft for a fairway wood mostly dedicated to shots off the tee.

Older and more budget friendly; Rogue/Rogue SZ or anything from Tour Edge in the Exotics line. Current; Sim or Cobra SpeedZone.

My new Ping G400 3 wood with Hazardas Black shaft is absolutely without a doubt the best 3 wood I have ever used.

Cobra f9 was a game changer for me

Callaway Epic Flash has my vote. Its an important weapon in my bag. I did however have to add some lead tape to bump up the swing weight a little.

I don't know when it came out but I am happy with Callaway x2hot deep face 5 wood

Epic Flash 15 degree. Using it at a 5 wood length.

I understand the tee cbx is as long and low spin as they come and quite affordable now. I just took a new st190 ts 3w out this weekend and it was longer than any 3w I've ever hit.

The 3 wood is such a personal club. You could get 100 responses and 100 different answers.

I will say that I think TM has really figured something out with the woods and in particular the 3 wood. I still bag a 2017 M2 HL. It's more of a turf club, however I do have a tour version that is a beast off the tee. The SIM seems to be getting a lot of love as well. If you want a budget friendly option, the Cobra LTD from a few years back was known for being an amazing driver replacement off the tee.

Well Duh! LOL. That's why I made suggestions instead of saying go get fit. :)

I will double down against the spirit of the forum and say that the 3 wood in particular seems to be the most unique club. That's why you still have people bagging v steels and 10+ year old clubs in that spot. It took me 3 years of searching after a cracked 910F until I found my M2 HL. I'm just glad i'm not still out there searching.

OG Taylormade 2016 3HL 16.5 is a beast. MIne is a tour issue model at 16.7. My playing partners think the club is illegal... just got a matching tour issue 5HL at 22 to match it....longer than sim max 15 and sim max D 16 I have.
