Spider X Armlock build

I have been using a Armlock for the past 2 years and switch to a 35" spider x a couple of weeks ago. But the switch was not that successful as I thought it would be

But I really like the putter and feel of the insert so I'm thinking about using it as a Armlock instead

I'm going to increase the length to 41" put a new 17" grip on it and adding 2 x 12g weights (when I find 2 in eu :() but I was thinking about the carbon lid it sounds like there is a empty space under it and I would like to take it of but I don't really know how...

I took the screws out but it's glued on or at least that's what I believe

I was thinking about warming it up with a heat gun or just boiling it :) any other ideas ??

The carbon lid I'm talking about :)

So I put 25g down the shaft and made the shaft 41.5"

Took a pice from an old shaft and stuck it in the original shaft

And a new Winn 17" putter grip

Need to change the loft and lie alittle but then it's done

still looking for advice in getting the lid off. was thinking of putting the putter in hot water for 5 min to see if that will loosen it up....

the water dident work but i got i lose on one side but the other is really stuck and its starting t get to me 😄

i have also changed the grip to a bryson one 😄

I’m considering also doing this to my spider x. Did you have to change the weight of the head at all? 
 

Do you have a picture of it now completed with the Bryson grip?

@Calle83: Have you considered Adhesive-backed Lead Weights? (typically 5grams or 7grams each, and used for car tyre/wheel balancing / RC hobby crafts),
i.e. as a simpler solution vs the removal of that carbon lid on putter base?.

Hi yes i have a picture of it

Yes you really need to add weight to the head and I would rekommend as much as 30-50g it’s to light for an armlock without that. 
there are extra weights that come in at 20g each so if you can find them that would be the easy way 

otherwise I can’t se a better way then getting the lid of to put weight on the inside 

@calle83 thanks for the help. I have ordered the 12g back weights for my spider x but would you recommend also adding more weight maybe in the form of lead tape??

the 12 grams Will add 20 grams in total (I think the original weights are 2g per side) 

I want it heavier then that but give it a go and see what you think 🙂

in my normal swing i play the ball forward in my stance and i did not see a reson to change from standard but thats very personal you really need to test and see

Did you have to extend the shaft or did you just slide the grip on half way?
