What Odyssey WISHES it could produce!!

Thanks to Joe Hooper & LaMont Mann (especially LaMont for putting up with me), I would like for you all to drool over my SM-2 mallet (pics below). :rolleyes:

I wanted a putter that would give me the same "ease of alignment" that I had with a Marxman, but without that marshmallow insert. LaMont & I traded a couple of e-mails, gave him an idea of what I was looking for, and then gave him a free leash. What he gave is a work of art!!

LaMont is one of the most personable people I've ecer had the pleasure of dealing with in any line of work - and that comes through over the PC. If I ever get to AZ, I'm going to make it a point to look him up & thank him in person! ;) :rolleyes: . LaMont is the "Mann" (sorry - bad pun)

OK.....enough @$$ kissing (that is enough, right? If not, let me know :ok: ). I can say this putter feels smooth & predictable off the face - going by the green later & I'll give an update.

Don't mean to pimp my own post, but I got out on the practice green this evening & this putter rolls like a dream!

The milled face is very predictable for length. The same stroke produces pretty much the same roll no matter where on the face it is struck. The same cannot be said for inset putters (the XG I used to play).

The other thing I noticed is that balls feel the same off the face. I was putting with a Z-URS, NOP, and Tour i....and they all felt similar when striking the ball. I definately noticed the difference with an XG and even with a Yes! Donna that I have.

Worth well more than the $ I paid for the putter!!

I told you that good things come to those who wait, now i'm waiting to demo that putter, but I might not want to wait. I may just have to PM jHoops and "get me one!!!!". That putter looks SAweeet!!! Wecome to the Sizemore familia. M29
