Looking for some opinions on golf balls under $30

The Maxfli tour fire is a nice ball. Dick's had a sale (don't know if it's still going on) 2 for 1 -- 2 dozen for $29.00. I use the E5+ regularly

Bridgstone E5+, urethane cover, high launch, great spin around the greens, great ball for the money, great ball period IMO.

Try the Srixon Trispeed. I really like these and $25 not bad.

cool, thanks guys. I went ahead and used the Golf Galaxy credit on a dozen of the e5's, and I'll get my first crack at em' tomorrow morning.

You tried the Gamer. I think they're excellent. The Callaway HX Hot Bite's not bad either. It's funny. I play with the Gamer. I play with ProV1. I've used a dozen of the Tour iX. I love 'em all.

Yeah, I really dug the gamers, and was pretty pleased with the e5's as well, but I also got a sleeve of Srixon Soft feels and really liked way they played off my irons and around the green, but the verdict is still out on the performance off the tee.

You might want to give the Srixon AD333's a try. They don't spin a ton, but they feel great and are pretty long in distance and last a long time.

I might give em a try. I prefer spin over distance though, I hit the ball plenty far so I just really want something that performs well around the green.

Don't forget the TaylorMade Burner TP. Very nice ball for $25 a dozen. Just picked up a sleeve and will buy more. Very nice soft feel off the putter. Even better than the NXT Tour in that respect. The e5+ is also a very good mid price ball.

I bought a dozen of the TaylorMade Burner and really enjoy the ball. For the price it is worth a try.

If you want to find more fairways try the e6 or the Srixon SoftFeel. Other options with a little more green control are the e5 and Srixon Ad333

Can't beat the Precept U-Tri Tour (at WalMart, Target, etc.). Better spin and softer feel than my second choice, the Bridgestone e5+. I've always thought that the NXT Tours have a rock-like feel, although the '08 version is their best yet (feel is obviously a matter of personal preference).

Don't overlook the Wilson ZIP - softest 3 peice I've played, good spin, long, did I say soft? under 20 bucks at wallymart

GG has in-store only, $5 off any dozen over $25....so Bridgestone 330-S is currently 29.99 for a net of 24.99. That has to be the best value in a long, long time.

Bridgestone Treo Soft. I usually play TM Red's but was given a couple sleeves of these alleged "cheap" balls by a customer. Shot 3 under during my morning round and 2 under in the afternoon round. Short pitches and chips tend to run a little more than I'm accustomed to, but I was able to quickly adapt. Very impressed with this cheap ball.
