Titleist Staff Program

Hawkeye, I got my jacket a while ago, balls yesterday, but no bag or gloves. I did not think the bag was a staff bag, I was told it was a carry bag. Maybe I'm wrong. If I get anything else, I'll PM you.

Hawkeye, your bag & hats should be shipping sometime soon. I believe the delay was with the embroidery.

I was told closer to april for the bag

Apparently that was the idea. But from what I was told yesterday they were trying to expediate that process to get them out ASAP. That was my understanding anyway.

Has anyone received their new Titleist Staff Bag for 2006? I have received the FootJoy coat, but heard nothing about the Staff Bag. Any info on when they'll ship out? Even better, any pics to see what to look forward to?

How does one become a staff player?

I also got my jacket a while ago, and anctiously awaiting the staff carry bag. I have not seen anything in way of picas, wish someone had some picas. I asked my rep the other day and he had no idea when they would ship.

On a different note, I am on the Titleist staff in Indiana. I also work at Daimlerchrysler and have been in the PGA PGM program for 3 years as an Assistant at a local 27 hole facility. During this 3 year adventure, I've been suspended and re-instated 5 times because of my primary employment. I work 40 hours a week at the GC and 40 hours a week at my other employment. In the PGA bylaws it says nothing about working two jobs. Only that I must put 40 hours a week and the employment must be continuous and regular and provide the public with golf related services. Also, the classification of a B-8 is that I must do 50

% of my time doing hadicapping,club repair, TO etc.... I have been doing this for 3 years now and have been suspended and re-instated 5 times after I appeal the decision. I'm on my last appeal with the National board of directors. I really don't feel that they can kick me out for working two full time jobs as long as I meet the PGA bylaw requirements. Can anyone help me ???? I do what's asked of me within the bylaws, but the section and national feel like I'm not primarily or eligibly employed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had new a few young pros in Florida who worked to jobs, but I don't know if the second was 40 hours a week. In any event, it might be 'helpful' to have a lawyer review the bilaws, and see if he could help you get things settled amicably, but more permanently as well.

Companies will give members of a clubs professional staff a deal to hit their clubs and/or balls to help generate the sales of that brand at the club.

Are they only doing the carry bag or do you have the option for the cart bag?

Just the carry bag. It will be a special edition. Normal bag just special colors.

Update to all of you staffers out there. I just received my bag this morning. It is std black but the logos are different than a typical X-67. The inner pouches along the side are different as well to accomodate the larger logo and apparel pocket.

No, that's not the hats I have. They sent three styles of basic Titleist hats with our name stitched into the back.

I just got mine last week. Beautiful! I'm not much of a photographer but hopefully this shows you the basic idea. Hard to tell in the pics, but there is like a zip up sheath in front that holds the stand for when you are riding. Very cool!

I agree the zip sheath is very cool, as are the three hidden zip pockets inside the apparel pocket. Enjoy. I was a little disappointed, because I was told that the bag would be black and silver. Different than any other bag. I guess the design was just a little different. I haven't had time to get clubs in or take the tags off for that matter, so you're ahead of me. Enjoy.

I've always been a staff bag guy, but this bag is set up so well for use on carts that I may actually use it. Just enough easier to lug around, and the stand holder is awesome! :golfer:
