Are the Z-UR & Z-URS the same ball ?

I think the Z-URS was launched before the Z-UR, now I'm wondering if they are exactly the same or if there are differences between the two ?

No. The Z-UR spins a bunch more than the Z-URS. The Z-UR is supposed to be more like the ProV1 family, but it doesn't quite get there.

Are you saying that the Pro V1 is a better ball than the "new" Z-UR, or, when you write that the Z-UR is not "quite there", you only talk about spin ?

The Pro V is a better ball than the Z-UR and Z-URS, old or new. I use the Srixon, but comparison, the Titleist ball is just really good. The distance is better and the spin around the green. Now the ball is a high spin ball, and it is pretty unforgiving if your spin rate is too high. It just gives a more solid feel than the Srixon offerings. Like I said, I use them, and I like them, but the Pro V is better IMO.

Z-UR was introduced BEFORE the Z-URS and is the lower spinning and firmer feeling of the two. The "S" was introduced to satisfy demand for a softer feeling ball with more greenside spin. The Z-URC was the last of the three introduced and is a little firmer feeling than the "S" but higher spinning.

There was also a Z-URX but I'm not sure about the specific spin/feel characteristics.
